Steamboat Springs Fireworks Might Fizzle on the 4th OK, snow level wasn't great in Steamboat last year. Now we might lose the 4th of July fireworks too? Who knew that the lack of powder days in Steamboat Springs last winter would spoil the best fireworks show in Colorado on the 4th of July. Well, that might be the case. The Steamboat Pilot has reported that because of the extreme low snow year and dry conditions, that our 4th of July fireworks just might be a big fat dud this year. Steamboat Springs gets fireworks.
