- 02/17/10 06:26 AM
It's time to start thinking SPRING! Yes, even though here in New Hampshire we received a new coat of fresh snow just yesterday. Home owners considering selling this year need to get on the ball. Box it up and store it if you have (3 comments)

ballouhomescom: Black Friday
- 11/28/08 04:09 AM
Yes.. today is Black Friday. A fitting name indeed! As I sat down this morning contemplating what I would write, I decided to spend some time reading first. A choice that lead me to a great blog! But leaving me completely unable to write my own. So I have asked Adam permission to re-post his here. It can be found on www.Gizmodo.com I think some of you may enjoy it! Today is Black Friday, a day dedicated to our basest and most pathetic inclinations. The day after giving thanks for all that we have, we turn around and jump through horrible (0 comments)

Remembering 9-11It's easy to remember where you were that day. Just what you were doing. On this busy morning I am taking a moment to honor all those that died. All those that ran for thier lives. All that lost someone dear. But also, all that suffered in others ways as well. This event didn't just effect those that were there. It has had a lasting effect on us all. This photo is from Reuters A member of the New York fire department holds a picture of a September 11, 2001 attack victim, who was a (1 comments)
ballouhomescom: Twilight ~ Masterpiece to Movie
- 09/06/08 06:28 AM
Twilight ~ Masterpiece to MovieFor me, it happens every time. I fall in love with a story. My mind so vivid that, reading the book, I see the characters faces, expressions. Smell the air, see the places they live. Hear their voices. A movie played out in my mind. Perfect. Then.... the rights are sold. The movie created. Never the same. Never as good as it was in my mind. It's true, I long to watch it played out on screen. But I am always so disappointed. Do these directors READ the book first? Or do they jump blindly into a (3 comments)
ballouhomescom: What to Blog on Active Rain
- 09/05/08 08:12 AM
What to Blog on Active RainHere's my question.... What do you expect to see from blogs on Active Rain?I've read tons of blogs. Tons. Everything from book reviews to marketing tips... and everything in between. During that reading I have also read many complaints about blogs NOT related to real estate. Do most people feel the same?I was under the impression that the biggest reason for blogging was to allow others to get to know you. Maybe I'm wrong? But doesn't talking about things other than real estate do just that? Allow others to get an idea of who you are. (8 comments)
