hurricane season: Annapolis Maryland 2012 Atlantic Hurricane Season Preparations - 05/23/12 05:43 AM
The Atlantic hurricane season is officially from 1 June to 30 November.  In the past intense storms going by the names of hurricane Irene and Isabel have threatened and delivered devastating blows to Annapolis, Anne Arundel County and Maryland, as well as elsewhere in the region.
While out showing waterfront property yesterday, I stumbled upon the Annapolis Maryland hurricane high water marker located at Ellen Moyer Nature Park off Edgewood Road at the head of Back Creek.  In the photograph below you can see high water marks for storms Agnes, Connie, Hazel, an unnamed storm, and Isabel.  In 1972 Agnes rose to the level … (14 comments)
