I'm Too Tired - 01/31/11 01:46 PM
We had an interesting topic today from our head office.  You were up all night, and you are now dog tired.  BUT you have to work today.
Yes, its probably easy in our line of work to slough off a few hours.  BUT the message was be consistent in what you do.  IT DOES PAY OFF.
I know you really don't want to go into the office or do your blog..BUT...
you set a goal to do 2 blogs a week.  Or perhaps
2 open houses this weekend.

Bottom line -Stay Consistent- and it … (3 comments)

NEW HOME PURCHASE - to Build or NOT? - 01/23/11 02:15 PM
Looking to build a NEW HOME.
Having over 10 years in NEW HOME sales there is a wide range of opportunity to build a NEW HOME in Airdrie.
Firstly - most new home sales people work only for the builder.  NOT you, and are not licensed Realtors.   The New Home Warranty benefits the builder more than the buyer, you do have rights - but make sure you understand your rights and limitations.  **Like most salespersons they have quotas to make per month, every wonder why there is so much change over in Show Home sales people?
Lots will vary in price based … (2 comments)

When your list of Friends and "Liked" pages in Facebook gets long it is sometimes hard to keep up with certain people. The newsfeed updates so frequently that you might totally miss out certain status updates. My first post on ActiveRain was called "Facebook - Don't Miss Your Most Important People" and it tells you how and why you'd want to create lists in Facebook.

HOT WATER TANKS - 01/10/11 11:00 AM
In our city builders are using High efficiency Hot Water Tanks.  Mostly gas - which is how we heat our homes.  We have gas fireplaces as well, wood burning has pretty much become so inefficient in new homes.
Lately I've run into Hot Water tanks that are electric.  I haven't heard any negative or drawbacks to the way the tank works.  HOWEVER it may cost a little more money to run.
You see Alberta is the land of Oil & Gas, and well we don't run how heating systems on electric heat.
Wonder if anyone has an opinion?

LAND PRICES - 01/10/11 10:54 AM

LOTS in Airdrie, Alberta really do range in price.  Starting at $147,900 to over $220,00.00 for a residential lot for a single family home.
I haven't seen the land value go down significantly - I'm still amazed at what some developers are charging.
We have some high end homes under construction in Airdrie - where prices start at $600,000.00 and go up. Some areas start at $700,000.00 before you even add all the bells and … (0 comments)
