      Wow!  I have been a member of Active Rain for a couple of years (I know my points don't show it) now and can't believe how much is has progressed.  I give a lot of credit to the founders and designers that help keep the Rain coming down.  I think there were less than 2000 members when I started and now over 117,000.  That is crazy.  I remember when AR had a contest to guess what day the 10,000th member would register.  I wish I was more active as a blogger and after getting the email yesterday telling about the listing router I am going to try and do the right thing.  

      I am a worship leader in Central Kentucky and we have accountability partners that keep us straight per say.  I need an accountability partner on AR to keep me blogging and active.  Any takers?  Anyway if you have read this far I am sure you are wondering what my title means  Active Rain. Slogger!!!.  Well a slogger is a word I made up that is a mixture of slacker and blogger (which I am).  I am in rehab right now and appreciate any prayers, ha.  Maybe I will contact Merriam-Websters and see about getting a new word put in.

Hey guys I am only a couple minutes away from helping a couple of my clients write an offer.  I do however have a problem.  They are making an offer on bank owned property and want to write in a contingency upon their home selling.  I have talked with the bank and believe it or not they said they would entertain and possibly accept as long as there is a 48 hour kickout clause attached.  Wow I thought that was awesome.

I talked to the buyers earier and I was excited,  only for them to tell me they did not want to give the bank a kickout.  I told them the bank would not accept the offer without this and they said they were looking out for themselves.  What do you think I should do?

I have had several people lately want to make offers and most of them with contingencies.  They don't want to list their home until they have found one to buy, this makes it really hard on us REALTORS®.  It is hard enough to get a home 'sold' right now much less having to sell one in a week or two so another contract will go through.

Well I have to go.  I will let you know how it goes.

My wife and I designed a new business card after I was tired of having the same thing as everyone else.  Owning a photography business, I thought we do this for other people why don't I do it for me.  We have had a couple of other Realtors® that have seen them and love them.  After she wrote a blog on her blogsite we have had several people email and say they wanted some unique cards for themselves.  I know most of you are not local but if you want your own special cards I am sure there is a photographer in your area that can help you.  If you would like pricing or have any questions on your own personal business cards just email me.

Central Kentucky's weather is a little odd to say the least.  It is usually in the mid 20's one day then maybe 60 or 70 the next.  You think I am kidding ask some of the people from Central Kentucky that currently use Active Rain.  The last big snow we had was in February of 1998, my son was 1.5 years old.  Since then we have had two daughters and they are now 7 and 4.  Neither of our daughters have seen enough snow to actually be able to play in, until last night.  We woke up this morning and had about 8-9 inches of snow.  My kids looked outside and were amazed.  So we threw every piece of clothing we could find on them and let them go out. 

 

      We went out with them for awhile but they definitely outlasted us.  They are now working on a snowman after an hour or more of sledding.  While playing, a firetruck came down our street and got stuck, then in the process of trying get back up the street slid off the street into the neighbors yard.

I have noticed a couple of Realtors in my area are sending feedback through email after you show their properties.  I really like it and think it is a great way to give and receive feedback.   So many agents here show your homes and you never hear from them again even after they said they would call back and give feedback.

I was just curious if anyone has any good suggestions on a feedback program, the ones I have looked at are around $20 a month and to me that is kind of expensive especially when you factor in all the other $$$ a month we spend.  Let me know if any of you are using any of these programs and what you think.  Thanks.   SC
