In 2004 a pair of California Bald Eagles made a nest in Redding CA. In 2007 CalTrans in pursuit of Highway work at Hiway 44 and 5 placed a safety cone in the nest in an attempt to relocate the nesting pair. The attempts were to no avail and after public "input" the cone was removed. The Eagle pair have made themselves at home ever since. NATIONAL HOUSING AFFORDABILTY LEVELS REACH ALMOST 71%
According to the 18 year survey results Housing Affordability has reached near historic levels. The positive move in Affordability can be attributed to 1st Time Home Buyer Federal Tax Credits, low home prices and interest rates.

The U.S. Commerce Department's Census Bureau today released retail sales data for January 2010.
January retail sales increased 0.5 percent from December, exceeding expectations Retail sales rose 7.6 percent at an annual rate in the fourth quarter 2009,  This increase is up following the  6.4 percent gains in the third quarter.
