Why isn't commercial RE posted on MLS? - 08/12/07 08:40 PM
Okay, I have a question for those of you who do a bit of commercial real estate work, whether you are strictly commercial and CCIM, or a generalist who also does some commercial.
Here in middle TN there is a LOT of commercial RE that does not appear on the MLS. It seems that the firms and agents who are strictly commercial will list on LoopNet, etc., but the listings don't hit the MLS. If I'm not mistaken, many of them don't even belong to the MLS. Okay, I've searched the catalog of posts looking for a sort of "SEO for Dummies" and, being a devoted dummy myself, seemed to get more confused with each entry.
So, could someone with way too much time on their hands and the ability to avoid too much jargon please explain some steps I should take to help move my site up on search engines? Again, the operative word is "dummy".
