What am I missing? - 10/07/08 08:22 AM
Okay, I've been a bit less active on AR lately, so I have a question.  I notice that when posting a new entry the information re visibility, etc., has changed a bit. Like most bloggers (I guess) after I post a new entry I go to the "Blogs" heading and check "Most Recent" to make sure I've been posted. I've posted twice this morning (here and here), both prior to 8 a.m. CDT; as of now (8:20 a.m. CDT) neither has shown up on "Most Recent".
Is there a big lag-time on this? Am I missing something that needs to be checked … (0 comments)

Tired of the same ol' dull, boring laptop? - 10/07/08 07:52 AM
In the market for a new laptop? One that will not only get the job done, but turn heads?
As we all know, tech gear has become more and more compact, more and more streamlined, more and more "modern". One guy is working to reverse this trend, by handcrafting computers and peripherals by reworking and inserting the "guts" into old desks, books, etc. (check out the flatbed scanner inserted into a ledger!).
Imagine how classy one of these would look on the hardwood desk in your office, as compared to a neon-blue gosh-gee whizbang Dell!! Truly art for art's sake.

The "Long Johns" explain the current ecomonic crisis - 10/07/08 07:29 AM
Ah, you gotta love that Brit humor.
As know-it-all real estate professionals, we've all been asked our opinion of the current meltdown--what caused it, what effect it is having, what can be done about it, who to blame for it. This video from the UK's ITV gives a humorous, tonge-in-cheek, and yet very intelligent and accurate, partial explanation. Throw in the social engineering that suddenly gave every American a "God-given right" to own their own home, and you've pretty much covered all the bases.
So the next time you're asked about the crisis, just pass this along.
