Washington and the Obama administration were outraged--outraged I say!!--over the bonuses that were paid out to the insurance, auto and bankings executives who received bailout monies. How is it that these free-enterprise companies could be so tone-deaf as to pay out these huge bonuses when they had survived thanks to taxpayer dollars?
Apparently the same standard does not apply to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. This from the Washington Examiner:
“The Obama administration pledged Thursday to provide unlimited financial assistance to mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, an eleventh-hour move that allows the government to exceed the current $400 billion … (0 comments)

Sarah Palin "serves" William Shatner on SNL - 12/13/09 10:32 AM
Okay, I realize that by now most of you have probably already seen this YouTube video from another source. In a day and age when so many politicians take themselves and their images far, far too seriously, its nice to see that Sarah Palin, who has been treated anything but fairly in the MSM, can deal with it with humor and good grace.

A sort-of-a warning - 12/03/09 02:19 PM
Okay, after several years of struggling along with a laptop computer that was so outdated that it ran on kerosene, I finally broke down and bought a new, fast, fancy-schmancy Dell--high speed, tons of memory, 17-inch monitor, blah, blah. It came loaded with Vista (boo!), but I was told that I would get the upgrade to Windows 7 (yeah!).
Okay, so I got the upgrade. What I was not aware of is that Windows 7 is force-loaded with Internet Explorer 8 and you cannot unistall it and install IE 7. Guess what-- there are a lot of websites that are not … (4 comments)
