Do you rely on CNN for your real estate investing advice? - 02/09/09 10:14 AM
If anyone is considering buying any real estate during this time, I ask that you please do not go to the media for your investment advice. Please ask local people in the business. Not just agents. Ask title attorneys, mortgage lenders, appraisers, etc. People that work in the business everyday. CNN or any other media outlet will not know when the best time to buy is. Smart investors like Warren Buffett in stocks, Sam Zell in commercial real estate, all buy when THEY feel it is appropriate based on their knowledge, research and experience. Just an FYI for those of you (0 comments)
Market firming? - 02/09/09 10:04 AM
The market here is Broward county seems to be firming. When one removes the short sales and homes priced at 2006 levels, there are not as many remaining properties as one would expect. Being out in the field all day everyday my buyers are more than surprised when I sometime ask them to bid full price or higher. What some listing agents are doing is underpricing homes, collect contracts for a week, and then send out a multi offer addendum asking buyers to submit their highest and best offer. It's actually a great listing strategy in my opinion. (0 comments)
