Good Morning, I do not mean to start off Friday with controversy, but Enough is Enough with the Reckless Government Spending. While former President Bush was in office the congress passes a Trillion dollar plus Bailout for the banks and financial industry. A Trillion dollars that we did not have to begin with and were forced to borrow from other countries. I had a very interesting day of showing properties last Saturday and yes, I had my first door answer (when no one was suppose to be at home for my showing) where the lady hopped out of the shower soaking wet with the towel barely on. Needless to say I turned pretty red and my clients were pretty embarrassed also. I have seen a lot of strange things, but this one was pretty funny. I don't know if it is just the media always broadcasting the most horrible events these days, but it seems like we live in a very different time. I know that everyone in generations past has thought this, but I think that this day and age may be unusually wicked. I recently took an NRA course on Gun Safety for the concealed carry permit and noticed a number of women in the class which was good to see. And yet another unbelievably busy week for me. Many of my Real Estate deals are lest than a month out and I am thankful to have deals to talk about, it is important to have income coming in the meantime. I have had to tap into some of my previous career experience and tie in my current sales experience. I am very optimistic about the future, even with all of the horrific news that is out there. Today was a pretty good day, all except for my buyer deciding that they wanted out of their contract. They had already paid for an inspection and the appraisal was completed. I will not go into great detail as to why they decided to cancel except to say that it will probably involve a counselor of sorts in the future. The upside to this was that I have 4 other buyers I am working with and 1 we are trying to get under contract. I got a nice chuckle out of this one. One Sunday afternoon a couple sees an ad in the paper. They can't believe their eyes. There is a house in the paper for $1000 that is in the nicest part of town. We are talking about a Highland Park mansion for $1000. I hope that everyone is doing well. The last couple of weeks have turned out to be pretty amazing. This is a nice change considering it has been a really difficult 6+ months where it seemed like every deal was falling through. Perseverance is key in this business and I really believe that those of us that make it through this mess will have learned many valuable lessons. Let me get this straight: We are currently 2 Trillion plus in the hole now after all is said and done. The economy is in a dire situation and we are losing a significant amount of jobs. Lets see, Microsoft, GE, Sun Microsystems and so on are laying off some thousands. Circuit City will have laid off 30 thousand plus after they are dissolved. So to counter this, the government in their infinite wisdom are going to spend a additional TRILLION DOLLARS! to replace the 3 million jobs that we are going to lose (not necessarily a net job gain) so … (4 comments)

Today was a great day. I spent a couple hours teaching a class in Denver, Colorado to Realtors on how to use the gadgets of this era. There were about 8 who attended and it seems that many of them were a lot more comfortable with their technological devices after it was said and done. I was happy to help them and even happier to leave them with this tidbit of advice. The Short Sales keep coming my way and I keep listing them in the Denver Metro area in Colorado. I cannot get enough of them and after a while they start to become easier. I work with a team of people in Denver and we get them sold together. If you do these right, there is plenty of business to be had and you will not lack. Here in Denver, Colorado the weather was beautiful today (low 60's to be exact) and I was able to get a property under contract for one of my buyers the 3rd week into January. I have another qualified buyer that I will be showing properties to this week. All I can say is that if this keeps up, this will be a great year. To top it off I have 7 listings that I acquired in the last 3 weeks. Remember the saying "He who lists, lasts"? I firmly believe in that saying. I hope you enjoy: 1. Never give me work in the morning. Always wait until 5:00 and then bring it to me. The challenge of a deadline is refreshing. 2.If it's really a "rush job," run in and interrupt me every 10 minutes to inquire how it's going.
