economic: What happens if the Rich just decide to leave? - 03/23/09 12:09 AM
Class warfare seems to be an interesting topic for dicussion. Why do people hate the rich and feel that they should pay more than their fare share? I am in no way rich, but I have no bitter feelings toward those who are more successful than I am. Interestingly enough, from what I gather from observing various interviews with the "common" man on the street. There seems to be this strange thirst for the government to solve all of our problems. When they are asked who should fit the bill, they respond with the rich should. What would happen if those

economic: Do you have buyers remorse? - 03/03/09 11:07 PM
I have a question for all Active Rainers. Do you generally feel optimistic about the future or are you concerned? If you are optimistic or pessimistic why do you feel this way? In 1 month we have experienced at 2300 point drop in the stock market. Not sure how many of you have investments of some sort, I don't recommend you looking at your statements for a few years, if you know what I mean. So here is the question, for those that voted for President Obama. Are any of you feeling a bit of buyers remorse? I know that the

economic: My first 100+ comment post. It feels amazing - 03/02/09 10:44 AM
Ok I think I have a taste of what it feels like for a music artist to go platinum or for a movie to be a block buster. recently I posted this post Should I just stop paying NAR and it almost instantly generated a 100 comments within hours. I think I probably hit a hot button for Realtors in these difficult economic times. It appears that many Realtor have been questioning the value of NAR and were waiting for someone to be brave enough and say it publicly for all to hear. I am pretty sure that I am off

economic: Are you trying to kill the housing market? When will government stop? - 03/02/09 07:02 AM
Have you hear recently that the Obama administration is seeking to limit the mortgage interest deduction for people and families with incomes in the 250k and up? To top it off they are also seeking to almost remove the charitable tax deduction for those who make 250k and more annually. The Economy killer Here is an idea, why doesn't the government save us all alot of agony and shoot is right into a full depression? Why drag it out for all of us, just raise taxes on everybody all at once so that we can finance this pork paloosa of his?

economic: Should we fire all the Realtors? There is always waterboarding. - 11/15/08 10:57 AM
Realtors, As this economic crisis starts to unfold and the age of technology is upon us, what will happen to us in the future? What are you going to do in order to stay competitive in changing times? We have a few generations that are extremely technologically saavy and tend to look down upon those who are not like them. Are we adapting to the times? Or are we being left behind? In the Denver Metro area there are 30 thousand plus Realtors trying to keep their heads above water and some are doing better than others. There are a lot
