Any Recommendations on a Camera and Editing Software - 10/29/07 11:13 AM
As a Realtor I need a good camera, but as an amature photographer I would like to have one that I could also use for fun.  Any recommendations, I have been looking at a Rebel EOS but I don't know of any other Realtors who have one.  Most of my CRS classmates have smaller cameras, like the Cannon Sureshot. 
A recommendation on photo editing software would also be great.  I am leaning towards Adobe Photo Shop, I use several free ones on-line like Picasa.

Questionable Financing - 10/19/07 06:48 PM
I have a client who has been turned down for regular financing and he has been turned down for a number of high interest loans (none I am comfortable with).  He is now wanting me to work with a company that I believe is not on the level.  In fact, I reminded them of what mortgage fraud is today when they asked me to agree to adjust the loan amount. Storm Lake Iowa is a small rural area and it is very unusual that financing originating out of the local area can compete with the local banks.

Storm Lake, Iowa Real Estate Market - Cat of a Different Color - 10/10/07 04:57 PM
In reading a lot of the national press and the posts on real estate blogs the real estate is suffering nationally.  Well, not here, we are located in north west Iowa and our market is still smokin hot even though this is the time of year that it usually slows down.  We do have really ugly winters here, blizzard alley and all that you know. 
We are seeing an increase in foreclosures, especially in loans that are from out of the area.  Foreclosed houses that are listed with a Realtor do not stay on the market long, our remodeling industry is … (0 comments)
