Howard County Residential Resale market report for February 2013 Howard County home sales was actually down in February 2013 over the same month of the previous year. This was by no means due to the lack of ready, willing and able buyers, but the insanely low supply of inventory. In the trenches, good homes sold quickly and some with multiple offers. There is a residual supply of over priced homes and short sales that are still hanging around on the market.

Pricing a home that is ready to be listed is not a science, but more a combination of local home data and understanding the local market. A potential listing agent can dissect all of the past sold homes that they think compare to your home till they are blue in the face, but does that mean they will get it right?

No Ravens Football today - A Good day to be on the radio in Baltimore. One week away till the Baltimore Ravens head to New Orleans to win the Superbowl. Meanwhile what do we do without Football this weekend? In the metro Baltimore area (PA too I think) every Sunday morning is the Weekend Real Estate Report on 105.7 The Fan. The Winter 2013 Howard County Restaurant Week is going strong through January 28th. Prices range from $10 - $40 for lunch and dinner. Many restaurants are offering prix fix menus that showcase their best and most popular cuisine. The first day of July finds 61 Open Houses in Howard County. A HUGE surprise that there are still that many scheduled after a punishing storm that swept across the area on Friday night leaving many many residents without power, businesses closed and trees and debris scattered everywhere.
I imagine the Howard County Open Houses may be busy if they have power AND CENTRAL A/C OPEN HOUSES IN WESTERN HOWARD COUNTY

The Real Estate market Update for the Metro Baltimore area ~ April 2012 The local Real Estate market in Central Maryland had a strong month in April 2012 with increased sales and more buyer confidence. As a region, the Baltimore Metro area showed great improvement, but this is not fully indicative of the strength of the activity in the Howard County market. Sales were certainly up across Howard County and many homes that were priced well, sold quickly and over list price with sellers being able to choose from multiple offers.
