olympics: Finally I can get some sleep! The games are over. - 08/25/08 05:35 AM
The 2008 Olympic Games has come to an end. The flame burns no longer. Everyone is heading home. (Glad I am not at that airport today!!!!!)
What an amazing 2 weeks it was. Despite the lack of sleep, I enjoyed all the competitions and the highlights were indeed pretty amazing. Personal favorites were of course watching Phelps do what no man has done before in an Olympic games with an amazing 8 gold medals and watching Usain Bolt "go like the wind" to break 2 world records.

olympics: Can you see the similarities? - 08/20/08 05:11 AM
The Olympics continues to keep me up till all hours of the morning. I should probably get TIVO, but too late for that now! I have even posted as I watch. Mostly in reference to the swimming.
I have a new addiction!
Are you in tears too?
Phelps-Mania in Baltimore
One of my personal favorite sports is soccer (Football to everyone else in the world but the USA!) Sadly the US team did not make it through to the quarter finals.

10.17pm. EST 10.17 am Beijing time.
Micheal Phelps has just won his 7th gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

What a nail biter: Even his Mother believed he had come in 2nd place and would be awarded the Silver. But his long arms and incredible strength takes the GOLD.
1/100th of a second and now he is just 1 medal away from being the most decorated Olympian.
Don't know about you, but I am proud to be from Baltimore and to be an American tonight.

It's 4.46.am EST, which means it is 4.46.pm in Beijing, China.

The 2008 Olympic Games is well under way and I just can't seem to call it a night. This morning I have enjoyed beach volley ball and rowing. Now I am just waiting for the USA v's Nigeria soccer game to start.
I confess, every four years I almost go into hibernation and enjoy watching the world compete. I root for the underdog and champion the home town (Baltimore) boy.

Go Michael Phelps!
It's not about the medals, but the tenacity it takes to be an Olympian. The dedication and … (12 comments)

I am a Maryland transplant from many other places, most recently Florida, but since 1997 I have found my true home in the heart of this great State. Maryland has it all. Mountains 3 hours to the West, the Atlantic Ocean 3 hours to the East and head North and South for either Philadelphia and New York or Washington DC. It is the perfect location! The Metro Baltimore area offers a rich mix of history and modern amenities. City living, suburbia or "not a neighbor in sight" is available in this area. Excellent Schools, amazing communities and an incredible location is why many people choose to live in Central Maryland. I proudly help my clients buy and sell all types of homes in Howard County and beyond. Enjoying the entire process is my goal for my clients. Every transaction is different and everyone has different needs. I know the Metro Baltimore area well and I am current on the Real Estate Market activity- That's my job. As your "Buyers Agent" I will work diligently to find you the home that suits all your needs. I will update you immediately when a home matches your search criteria.
