While reading on-line this morning in the Fosters Daily Democrat newspaper, I learned that the oldest home in Maine, "The Bray House" is being auctioned this Saturday, March 24th at 11 AM. This home was built in 1662 by shipwright John Bray of Plymouth, England and was owned by the Pepperrell family for over 200 years. This home, which is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located at 100 Pepperrell Rd in Kittery, ME. Yes, you read that correctly--I did write brothel! For more than two decades the sleepy town of Kittery, Maine, ignored, or maybe I should say, "turned a blind eye" to the Danish Health Club. I remember moving to the area and a friend telling me it was "more" than just a health club" but I never really believed.
