According to Mark Dotzour, Chief Economist and Director of Research at the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M (TAMU), the real estate market in Texas is going to be so HOT, that Texas Real Estate agents should plan to NOT take a vacation in 2014...... The article goes on to that the outlook is promising due to the fact that Texas continues to create jobs, that while mortgage rates are increasing, they are still amazingly cheap, and price appreciation. The article references comments by the founder of Metrostudy, Mike Castleman, who lives right here in our neck of the woods, in Dripping Springs, Texas. The company analyzes housing/construction markets in 19 different markets, including Texas. Their client list features large corporations such as Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Pulte and KB Home.
