George Washington's Ferry Farm
George Washington actually grew up right here in Fredericksburg (from 1738-1752, ages 6-19)  It is said that this is the place where the stories of the cherry tree and of the silver dollar (really a stone) thrown across the Rappahannock River took place
It was also an important part of where the Union lines were, during the Battle of Fredericksburg.  Recentely, Archaeologists recovered the remains of the Washington's house. A National Historic Landmark, Ferry Farm includes a visitor center with exhibits and a self-guiding walking tour of the property.

The Ghosts of Fredericksburg Tours, are presented by author Mark Nesbitt, who is founded the the "Ghosts of Gettysburg" tours.

Konnie what a fantastic accomplishment.  Gymnastics is probably one of the most gruelling sports there is. Many people don't realize the hours of training that the athletes have to prepare to compete at that level.  My hat is off to your son!  Congratulations!!

That is one of the biggest complaints I hear from my agent clietnts.. Buyers who don't understand that they need to get prequalifed before going to look at homes.  It is amazing how little the general public knows about the whole process of purchasing a home..

This is an excellent example of how photos make a huge difference.  Agents need to remember that photos are the first thing that a potential buyers sees, photos bring people to a house..or turn them off from going to a house... remember to remove clutter from your photos as much as you can...

Riverside Theater and Conference Facility is located in Fredericksburg, VA.  As in it's name is its a restaurant and a conference center....with a twist..it's a Dinner Theater!
I enjoy looking around and reporting on interesting forms of entertainment and this is a great find.
They are currently running "Evita" the broadway show.

I hear you, we tried to modify our mortgage too.  I don't quite understand why these lenders would want someone to ruin their credit to get help.  You would think it would make more sense to help people out, not penalize them for having problems.

Konnie a friend of mine in California said he did just that, he said he went to a totally different lender, got approved for a loan contingent on his current lender forgiving the debt.. it's just like a short sale, but in this case the homeowner gets to stay in their home.

Konnie I have been to this place, it is on they way a back from Middleburg, Virginia.  It is the coolest place, if you blink your eye you would miss it.. It's funny you  are posting about it.. we just went by last weekend... Great place for anyone who is interested in a different dining experience.

I would have to agree with you Konnie Prince William County Schools are great... our neice goes to Battlefield...it is an excellent school

 I have lived in Prince William County for 6 years...and I love the school system here.  What I particularly like is the fact that the high schools have specialty programs for the students.
Battlefield High School, in Haymarket, Virginia is the Center For Information Technology.  Students can enter programs to be a Certified Internet Webmaster, CISCO, computer graphics, Computer Newtowrk Software, JAVA, Multimedia and Oracle...that's pretty amazing.. for high school...
