In Both Real Estate and Horseshoes You Have to be Good to be Lucky and Lucky to be Good! - 07/25/10 01:18 PM
We all had a good time at the Jump's Tiny Tavern Horseshoe Tournament in Cocoa beach on Saturday but the heat kept a lot of regulars from showing up. The one thing I've noticed that stands out is that no one has anything negative to say. Your opponent is cheering you … (14 comments)

Speechless Sundays - A Cocoa Beach Bikini Contest is a Great way to Beat the Heat!! - 07/18/10 10:55 PM
It's a great way to beat the heat!  What could be finer than lovely ladies and an ice cold Corona at the Pier in Cocoa Beach, Florida? You can take in the "sights" and then jump on your board to ride a wave or just relax in your beach chair. Life … (25 comments)

Friday's Fotos - All I Want for my Birthday is a Frog! (And a New House) - 07/16/10 11:41 AM

This is an NOAA map of the Gulf Stream. Significant amounts of oil have not yet entered the Loop Current and even if they do, you can see that the Cocoa Beach area should not have a direct hit. The oil will be diluted and off shore at that point and … (17 comments)

Wordless Wednesday - Cape Canaveral Sunset by the Gazebo Watching Manatees - 07/07/10 09:42 PM
I was at the end of my evening bike ride and made it to the gazebo in time to catch the last rays of the day. The people by the water were watching manatees splashing around but it was too dark to get a good shot - Maybe next time :-)

Happy 4th of July: Florida's Patrick AFB, the 45th Space Wing, a little GI Humor, Founding Father's BBQ. - 07/04/10 02:01 PM
This painting by local Cocoa Beach artist Steve J. Harris shows the hanger where my wife's Dad used to serve. Both the hanger and Dad are now gone. If I was in the Air Force, I know my first choice would be Patrick AFB just for the location.
