Have you ever tried doing something nice just "because"? What was the reaction you received?  Don't most people want something in return for good deeds? 
Well, in my real estate business this happens a lot.  Sometimes I will try helping someone not expecting a return at that moment.  Like sharing information on loan modifications (I don't get paid a dime for helping clients with this), or sharing information on how to deal with creditors while going through a short sale. Sometimes it is just spending time with someone and listening to the situation they are going through with a sympathetic ear.

market conditions: Ocwen REO Listing with no agent!! - 02/25/09 07:22 AM
I was gathering a list of properties to show to my new client yesterday and stumbled upon an Ocwen REO.  The listing broker is listed as Realty Outsourcing Solutions Inc and the office number for the listing office is a 1 800 number. 
I called to inquire if there were any offers in on the property and to find out more about the repairs mentioned in the listing remarks. 
I called the number and got someone from India.  I could barely understand him.  And the it was extremely frustrating and slow with the whole decorum and polite small talk these telemarketers … (32 comments)

According to a recent report from CAR the following information was released this week: The minimum household income needed to purchase an entry-level home at $248,030 in California in the fourth quarter of 2008 was $48,900, based on an adjustable interest rate of 6.02 percent and assuming a 10 percent down payment. First-time buyers typically purchase a home equal to 85 percent of the prevailing median price. The monthly payment, including taxes and insurance, was $1,630 for the fourth quarter of 2008. market conditions: The Temecula Valley Market Stats - 04/22/08 12:19 PM
Wow, we have really seen a turn around in our number of closed sales!  I've been keeping track.  Back in 2007 - September, October, November, December, we were eaking along at about 150 closings per month total for all of Temecula, Murrieta and Winchester.  In January we saw our closings jump to 204, in February it went to 245, and in March we nearly doubled our fall monthly output to 317 closed sales.  (All of this information of course was taken from the MRMLS Matrix and does not include new home sales or those not listed in the Multiple Listing Service.)  … (0 comments)
