Starting your real estate search? Work it out on paper.
Save time and avoid disillusionment by taking a look at market stats at the onset of your real estate search.
Check out area sales and market trends for the home styles, price points and locations you're interested in. Then make a prioritized list of must-haves and a separate wish list for non-essentials. Weigh location against other priorities on your lists. If you want to live two blocks from the White House, square footage will be lower and prices higher than in a less desirable locale. There will likely be some trade-offs, but you may prefer your desired location over a more modern kitchen … (0 comments)
