So much going on at Active Rain this week. I've had a ton of fun catching up with friends and laughing with them on their posts. Jon Zolsksy wrote a post that got featured this week and I commented on it. I added the comment that I had come over to say hi to Inna's dad. Farewell to 24!
24 goes the way of many of my favorite shows. Sadly, I wasn't tuned in 8 years ago and didn't see the first 3 or 4 years of the show. I have thoroughly enjoyed the years I did catch and it is with sadness that I look forward to catching the last two hours of a great show tonight at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. All the best to the cast, especially Kieffer Sutherland. A great cast. You will be missed!

I am dedicating today's Thankful Thursday post to Carole Provenzale by reposting this lovely tribute to her written by her beautiful daughter Laura. I got to know Carole by visiting her blog and by her thoughtful and kind comments to my posts. Carole commented on my mother's day post on 5/18, the very morning she passed away. It's my regret that while I always meant to pick up the phone and call and chat with Carole, that life was so busy and I've missed the opportunity. My thoughts are with Carole's children and family. I had the pleasure of attending a showing of The Next Reunion at the Society Hill Playhouse last night. My good friend Denise treated me and it was a lot of fun! The writer and director, Larry McKenna is a high school chum of Denise's and a very funny man. In the playbill, Larry McKenna says that The Next Reunion "is intended for entertainment only" and not to look for deeper meaning. He was half right. Tomorrow is mother's day! I am lucky enough to still have my mom with me. I call her "my little momma" and she is indeed getting smaller every year! She was always a firecracker and smart and pretty and I love her dearly.
This photo was taken of my mom when she was a young girl working at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. Someone asked her to try this dress on at work and walk around. You can imagine, in the early 1950's, in the middle of all of those young service men, that my mom caused quite a stir! She … (27 comments)

I got an email on Tuesday from the Universe. I subscribe to weekday affirmations from The Universe and sometimes they hit me just right. Tuesday's email said:
When it comes to choosing who will be in your life, Susan, I recommend valuing their "Yeeee-Haaaaaaa!" quality above all others.
I am blessed with friends who regularly add Yeee-Haaaa's to my day. I have friends that add loads of Yeee-Haaaa's to most of my days! In fact, when I got the email on Tuesday, I emailed some of them all to say thank you for that.
