I had the pleasure of watching President Obama during his appearance on The View.  As usual, in my humble opinion, The President was elegant, well spoken, charming and gracious.  Whoopi Goldberg spoke to him about a scene from the movie Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.  In the scene, Sidney Poitier remarks to his father that "you think of yourself as a colored man, I think of myself as a man".  It's a powerful and moving scene.  Whoopi then asked President Obama how he thinks of himself.  He responded that first he thinks of himself as an American.

Bow Tree has long been one of the most popular neighborhoods in the West Chester area school district.  Located near the intersection of Strasburg Road and Rt 352, there are roughly 300 plus homes there.  The first phase of Bow Tree was built by custom builders.  After that, Ferguson and Flynn finished out the bulk of the neighborhood.  Most homes are between 2500 to 3000 square feet on about 1/2 an acre, although some homes sit on slightly more land.  The landscaping that the builder did when these homes were new is still in evidence today and I love driving through … (2 comments)

Top Ten List for the week!

My boys.  Mike and Max.  They turned 21 and 14 while we were on our family vacation.  My gorgeous sons. I am thankful for them everyday. My JJ.  Oh come on, a top 10 list without the love of my life? Thankful Thursday, 7/8/10, My boys are having birthdays!! - 07/08/10 08:15 PM
My boys, my little babies, my sons, are having birthdays very soon.  As hard as it is for me to believe, my first born son, Michael, is turning 21 on 7/11!  21.  How can that possibly be?  
My second son , Max, is turning 14 on 7/15.  Holy smokes!
Today, 7/8/10, I am very thankful for my two sons, who bring me great joy almost every day.  I say almost because let's face it... into every life, a few teenagers must fall!  They are both great boys with wonderful senses of humor and great hearts.

I woke up this morning, and as always when I open my eyes, there's my little JJ looking up at me.  I open my arms and he snuggles up to my head and we snooze for a few more minutes, in blissful mutual love and affection (JJ is my dog, for those who think I may be sharing intimate stories of my husband).  The weather forecast for today is a picture perfect summer day.  No humidity, on the cool side and sunny.  Today is Swingin' Thursday in West Chester starting at 5:00 PM and I am smiling, thinking about the day … (17 comments)
