Hershey's Mill is one of my favorite Chester County over 55 communities.  It's about 24 miles from Center City and within 45 minutes of the Philadelphia International Airport.   The community sits on 800 acres of rolling hills and lovely landscaping.  In the center of this lovely community is the Hershey's Mill Golf Club, which I believe is an 18 hole course with a lovely club house.

Here's a shot just as some of the flowering trees were starting to bloom!  Something to look forward to!

Thursdays have a special meaning in East Goshen Township.  It's the East Goshen Farmers Market!  Every Thursday, at East Goshen Park from 3 PM to 7 PM.  
It features a growing list of farmers and food artisans offering locally grown and produced products.
This week at the market, it's Dad's Day!  Shop for something special for that special man in your life!  The market is for producers only.  East person participating must grow or produce their product locally.  Here's a link to all the great information about this week's East Goshen Farmers Market.

Broker's Open Houses are for agents to preview homes, but I am always happy to see the public attend one of my open houses.  Tuesday, 5/22/12 I will be hosting a broker's open house from 12 to 2 at 1333 Greenhill Road, between Boot and Chester Roads.  Come one, come all and have a meatball sandwich and preview this large home on a 1 acre lot in popular East Goshen Township.

It was a fairly gorgeous day for about 2 hours today and I was able to take a few photos of the sugar maples in Mill Creek, East Goshen Township, Chester County.  The builder put these beauties in when the homes in Mill Creek were built.  Some have died but for the most part, most are alive and well and starting to show off their autumn colors!
Mill Creek is a single family home development of 32 to 34 homes located off of Boot Road.  Being a small development, it's a plus that one of the roads, Chambord Circle connects to … (6 comments)

 “Keep East Goshen Beautiful Day” is set for Saturday, April 9, 2011.  I absolutely love living and working in East Goshen.  In fact, our new office is walking distance to the township building.  If you haven't noticed, we are at 1595 Paoli Pike, across from the Wawa and Swiss Farms.  
Our brokers, Mike D'Adamo and Mike Santoleri opened our new office during the week between Christmas and January 1.  It's a beautiful buidling and our offices are really something I am proud of.
This Saturday, 4/9/11 our township is looking for volunteers to help in a spring clean up.

east goshen township: Another snowfall in West Chester! - 01/21/11 09:47 AM
We woke up to more of the pretty white stuff here in West Chester, PA.  My township, East Goshen, does a terrific job with snow removal and the county certainly has it's act together when it comes to helping people get around in bad weather.  West Chester area school district called a two hour delay instead of a snow day, and the collective groans of thousands of kids could be heard above the yippees of parents everywhere!

I know this event is next month, but mark your calendars to help a neighbor!  
East Goshen is inviting all able-bodied folks, families and groups to participate in a service day to help the seniors in the township with raking leaves!

Preregistration is required by Wednesday, 11/10/10, so don't put this off.  Click here to download and complete the form.  You can fax, mail or drop it off at the Township Building to the attention of Frank Vattilano, the Recreation Director.

Of all the things I miss from when my boys were little, I think The Pumpkin Festival at East Goshen Park is near the top of the list.  I especially remember taking Max with his best friend at the time, and they used to have a blast!  We would stop on the way home from their soccer game.  
It's all free and it's done up right.  So don't miss it!  Here are the details:

Being thankful is a great state of mind and one that we should all practice.  You can wake up feeling really poorly, but if you train your mind toward gratitude instead of grousing, it really does change the way you feel.  I've never been one to wake up happy.  I'm not sad, exactly, I'm just not ready to get up.  My normal body clock wakes me up around 7:30 AM, but my alarm clock wakes me up at 6:30.  At that point, I slam the snooze button and JJ, my little dog creeps up to my head for a cuddle, and … (10 comments)

There are many pleasures to be found living and working in East Goshen Township but none can equal the pleasure and joy of walking JJ around the neighborhood.  JJ is always on a leash, as I believe is the township law and I always carry a bag in my pocket so I can pick up after JJ as he frolics to and fro.  Because I am showing houses nearly all day today, I opted to skip the gym in favor of a walk with my favorite 4 legged creature.

Just a reminder to all East Goshen residents that there is a change in our normal trash days that will start tomorrow, 1/4/10.  All residents living north of Paoli Pike and also all residents of Clock Tower (as if this isn't confusing enough) your new trash days will be Monday and Thursday. 
All residents on the south side of Paoli Pike, of course with the exception of Clock Tower, will be Tuesday and Friday. 
The normal recycling will be the first day of the two, Monday or Tuesday, depending on where you live.

I live and work in East Goshen, Chester County.  It's a lovely township, some liken to the suburbs of Delaware County, as East Goshen is sometimes as far West of the city of Philadelphia as some buyers would like to be.  The mission statement of the township, as per their website is as follows:

If you know me, you know I love my dog.  When I finally got my dog at almost 49 years old last year, the very first place I took her to was Rocky Hill Veterinary Clinic.  That first puppy, Maggie Moo,  soon became very ill, and I took her to see Dr. McGrath.  He was wonderful with her and with us, and the compassion that Max and I were shown at this office was truly above and beyond.  We had to return Maggie Moo to the bad breeder we bought her from, but we rectified that as soon as possible by … (15 comments)
