It's illegal right now in New Jersey, but pending legislation would allow real estate brokers to pay clients a portion of their commissions at the close of a deal. The annual Perseid meteor shower is expected to put on a good show this week for those willing to stay up until midnight or willing to get up in the wee hours of the morning and wait patiently for the shooting stars. In Monmouth County, the best time to watch will be between midnight to 5 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 11th and Aug. 12, weather permitting. Coming back from my coffee stop in Red Bank, I passed these hydrangeas tumbling over a fence on Harrison Avenue in Fair Haven. This year has been a great year for hydrangeas! As I drive around in my real estate travels each day I notice them blooming from pale icy blues to deep violets. I've always got my camera with me and I couldn't resist.
