Are you a buyer concerned with the slowness of your short sale purchase? - 05/29/10 04:25 PM
Are you a buyer concerned with the slowness of your short sale purchase? As a member of Short Sale Superstars, I see many buyers writing questions to the members regarding their own transactions that are not going as well as they had hoped, and wondering if their own agents are doing as much as they can do. All of us who are members try to address their responses directly to help them cope with their short sale purchases so that they understand that their agents are usually doing all they can and why they can't just talk to the bank themselves. Look at your profile page: Would you hire you? - 05/26/10 01:20 AM
I was reading an excellent post by David North called "Your profile has been viewed 1000 times" and it got me to thinking. David's points are so true and you never know who will be checking out your profile. Posting frequently in your blog will bring you more readers, who will also check out your profile. His article made me think of three more points that have occurred to me:1. When checking out profiles of many of the bloggers here on Active Rain, I see that they have paid little attention to how they have presented themselves. The AR folks have given (62 comments)
Something to remember on Memorial Day - 05/25/10 03:25 PM
With Memorial Day coming up, the world in a big mess, and our country more divided than ever with a lot of ugly and mean treatment of anyone who disagrees with our opinions, it is time to pause and reflect on our country, our families, on those we have lost, and on the need to show love and compassion to each other while we can. I wish I could share the treasure that is sung about in this song - we could all use it.

Today is indeed a very special day! - 05/23/10 03:03 PM
Do you ever look at your calendar and see that the day that you thought was just an ordinary day was actually a very special day for other people? Aside from the fact that May 23rd is undoubtedly someone's birthday, wedding day or something else personally special to some people, according to my calendar, it is also: World Turtle Day Turtles and tortoises are not only fascinating (there are sea turtles, the little turtles that people see in or near fresh water, and desert tortoises), but they are role models. Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? Slow and (14 comments)

UPSIDE DOWN? You may be able to avoid foreclosure! - 05/20/10 11:43 PM
Important! If your home is "upside down," you owe more on your home than its current market value, and you are having trouble making your house payments, there may be a chance of you to avoid foreclosure. The Home Affordability Foreclosure Alternative program (HAFA) has several ways you might be helped. Your bank will send you a letter offering you this program, but if you do not respond WITHIN 14 DAYS, you may be deemed to have refused the program and its benefits. It may be that you qualify for .a loan modification, which would permit you to stay in your (5 comments)

Maureen has compiled a great list of tips for sellers in preparing their homes for showing. We listing agents cannot tell our sellers these things enough. Clearly we do not want to tell them how to live their lives, but if they are serious about selling their homes, their lifestyles may have to be adjusted for a short time. The alternative may be having their homes on the market for a long time and/or selling at a reduced price.
