Want to have some fun in the dark in Rancho Cordova CA? - 03/24/12 04:50 PM
For a fun family activity, or even an unusual date night, try  Rancho Cordova Monster Mini Golf.  You play in the dark, under black lights, meaning that all of the balls, holes, hazards, and a selection of monsters, all glow in the dark!  It is a lot of spooky fun, and safe even for little kids (There is enough light to see what you're doing). There is a DJ playing fun music, an arcade with other fun games also glowing fluorescent under black lights (and you can win tickets for prizes), and everyone has a great time.  It is a great … (4 comments)

Okay, here's the answer to "the question": Today is the day! - 03/23/12 05:05 PM
So today I finally answered The Question:  How long are you going to grow your hair?  My hair grows so fast that normally I trim my bangs every day and cut the rest every two to three weeks, with a trim now and then in between to keep it about the same length.
I do it myself, as I always have.  I"ve never done anything very fancy with it and I  guess I'm lazy about it because it has always been healthy, and I've never colored it or chemically treated it in any way.  The only permanent wave I've ever … (12 comments)

Attn New Home Buyers!! Please Call Me BEFORE You Visit New Home Builders, Not After!! Things The Builder's Sales Person Won't Tell You!! - 03/21/12 11:00 PM
This is an important post by Lenn, because it is confusing for buyers to know how it all works.  This is an important piece of info to share.
I represented one couple for a long time, showing them many many homes, and then they called and asked me what I knew about the new home tract near the resales we had been touring.
I asked them to please not visit new home developments without me and they were offended until I explained this fact of life with them: once they've gone without me, I can no longer help them.  … (5 comments)

NASCAR racing fans: Come to Roseville CA tonight, March 21st, from 5-7 pm! - 03/21/12 01:17 PM

NASCAR racing fans: Come to Roseville CA tonight, March 21st,  5-7 pm! Bill McAnally Racing is introducing its new Roseville location at 900 Riverside Avenue with a huge Grand Opening celebration!  I saw a story on TV about it that showed the huge new facility and it will really be an exciting place.
On one side are the race cars that are being prepped for races or simply displayed, and on the other side of this huge open area is the place where you can bring your cars for servicing in their NAPA AutoCare facility.
They are not moving … (0 comments)

Homeowners: This is important - please pay attention! - 03/20/12 06:39 PM
Homeowners:  This is important - please pay attention!
It has been said and said, but apparently some people still aren't hearing it.  It should not cost a consumer ANYTHING to apply for a loan modification, yet scammers seem to be continuing to get fees to "help" people get loan modifications or some kind of mortgage relief, and then when nothing gets accomplished, the consumer is even further in debt.  The Better Business Bureau lists mortgage modification scams on its annual top ten scam list, with scammers sometimes even pretending to be government agencies.  The red flag should be if you are … (16 comments)

My St Patrick's Day memories - 03/16/12 10:02 PM
.                         Happy St. Patrick's Day!My Mom was born on this day in 1917.  She passed away just after her 85th birthday and of course I still miss her and think of her all the time, but especially on St. Patrick's Day.                             Every year I would search the card stores and manage to find a card that wished her a St. Patrick's Birthday card.  I didn't realize until after she had passed away that she had saved them all.  And then when my Dad died, I found a whole drawer of cards and letters I had sent him over the years.Neither … (10 comments)

Good news for the job and real estate markets in Sacramento CA! - 03/15/12 06:04 PM
Good news for the job and real estate markets in Sacramento CA! Now here is some good news for the Sacramento area that most of the media has not reported.  The biggest issue in our country these days is jobs, and although government jobs throughout the country have taken a hit and therefore Sacramento, the California capitol, has had some of those problems, there has been some spectacular good news on the job front here. The Sacramento Business Journal reports that there has been a 37 percent growth in tech jobs in Sacramento since March 2011, making it tied for third best … (11 comments)

THREE important things to do tonight! - 03/10/12 02:00 PM
Just another reminder to spring forward tonight before you go to bed!  Daylight Savings Time is upon us again. And while you are doing that, please check the batteries in your smoke detectors (of course batteries are cheap, and it is inexpensive insurance to simply change them twice a year - whenever you change the clocks). This year, why not do yourself another favor and install carbon monoxide detectors as well?  Carbon monoxide is a silent, odorless and sneaky killer.  I wrote a blog post about the new law requiring them in California, and they are also required in many other states.Make it … (4 comments)

Have you seen this? Gorgeous! - 03/05/12 11:17 AM
Have you seen the new Cartier commercial?  It is the most beautiful commercial I've ever seen. It's more like a short art film.  When it comes on TV, both my husband and I sit quietly transfixed during the whole thing.  Makes me wonder how I could make a gorgeous marketing video. What do you think of it?

Eliminate those inefficient and wasteful stacks of specialty papers! - 03/02/12 12:19 PM
We would all love to make our real estate businesses (and our lives) more efficient, and eliminate wasteful processes.  We're already familiar with Docusign, and how it eliminates the need to print drafts of our documents over and over while we gather signatures on hard copies, but there are also other ways to avoid cluttering our offices with stacks of paper.
Have you ever wanted to prepare a one-of-a-kind document or form, or make a graph, or write down the music for a tune you have dreamed up, or calendared an event that is in the future and beyond what your … (19 comments)
