2008 apple harvest festival: Colorful and in Season in Haywood County ... APPLES and LEAVES! - 10/18/08 12:10 AM
Today is the Apple Harvest Festival in Downtown Waynesville and I am planning to get there early. There's a chill in the air and the temperatures are dropping! Tomorrow is the Arts and Crafts Fair in Maggie Valley, and if that doesn't get you in the mood for fall/winter, just stop by any retailer (almost) and look at Christmas decorations!  Read more about the weekend festivities here!
Please enjoy the slideshow of some of my favorite Fall Photos from this past week.

2008 apple harvest festival: Amazing Sights on Lake Junaluska in Western North Carolina. - 10/12/08 09:00 PM
Both of these pictures were taken on the same day (Saturday, October 11th), at almost the same time, at the same place - - beautiful Lake Junaluska.  Many roses are still blooming in passionately bright colors around the Lake while the trees at the same time are ‘blooming’ in their own spectacular jewel tones.
Don’t forget about the 2008 Apple Harvest Festival this weekend (if you are looking for an excuse to come to the mountains). Good arts and crafts, good food, and good entertainment!
