We had kid’s day at my daughter’s home this weekend. My daughter Tommie and all her children got together and decorated giant cup cakes along with my husband and myself.
 
It was fun; and had I had more time I could have killed this one. But this event was sandwiched together with two others I had that evening. I didn’t have enough time to make my two cup cakes as beautiful as I could make them.  It didn’t come out as great as I wanted them to. But they were pretty. This video was shot by the Leals... it was sent to me via an email. I like to personally thank the Leals for giving me such a good laugh today. I think all of us will enjoy this little video. I don't understand why these cattle were chasing this little car (which I at first thought was a turtle).
It remeinded me of a bunch of Realtors® chasing clients.  Enjoy it as much as I did.

When it was apparent that my department would be answering all the phones for our organization there was quite a fuss as to who would be doing this job. Everyone hates to answer phones. So I volunteered for it, all the while my dads voice rang in my head, "In the Army you never volunteer for anything". My thoughts were that I could get new contacts just by answering the phones. And I have; but this story is not about those fast talking people who leave voice mails.

Yesterday was a busy day. I had to preview a home to give the seller an idea of what she could do renovation wise to help sell the home.
Then I had to take my husband to buy clothes...and take my daughter some lunch at work. After that I planned to find some acreage for another client and email the info to him.

This last Saturday my husband, and friends, Tellie and Jim went to Galveston to hang out and see what we could get into. We decided to get a little something to eat and drove up to THE SPOT on the Galveston wall.

Forest Heights is a master planned community. The developer, Don Barras planned to construct eight sections in this entire subdivision.  He platted all eight sections, however, only Sections one through four have been sold to home builders.

Below is one of the homes located within this subdivision.

But my favorite thing about this lovely subdivision is the massive tree at its entrance.

In Brazoria County before you enter Alvin city limits on Highway 35 you will come to a large pottery store. It is a mom and pop business and they work out of their home.  Since times are bad the owner is trying as fast as he can to sell out his product. At this location you can get 3 to 4 foot large decretive pots for you landscaping needs at a cost of $75.  This is a saving since I saw a pot that was about a gallon size for $50 at Wal-Mart.

It had been a hard morning and I was stressed out. Since I was a stress eater at that time I decided to go get a donut on my break. I drove down to the sole donut store and went in with so much anticipation of a hot sugary donut.

The original James Coney Island came into being in 1923 and was located on the ground floor of the Beatty-West Building on Main Street, Houston.  It was there that I tasted my first Coney. At the age of thirteen my friend Marilyn and I would ride the Metro Bus to downtown where her mother worked as a cashier in Wal-Greens.  Wal-Greens was also located on Main Street and close to Wool Worth’s 5 & 10 Cent Store… We would either eat a slice of pizza at Wool Worth’s or walk to get a hot dog.

North Pointe Trails in Alvin is the newest Subdivision being constructed. The Developers were, Barry and Scott Black a father and son team. Scott, Barry’s son, took pride in naming the streets of each of the subdivisions they developed with a theme in mind.
The theme for North Pointe Trails was race car drivers. To our loss Scott passed away about six months ago. We all miss him as he was such a great guy. He had an awesome giving personality.

Four years ago the Young Men's Christian Association completed construction of the new YMCA in Alvin Texas. The city at the time contributed as much as possible as well. Land was donated by a local for the site. Since I don't know if they would like their names mentioned I will leave that out.

One of my favorite Mexican food restaurants is Luna's Mexican Restaurant located at 704 W. Parkwood, Friendswood, TX -(281) 992-4790.They have a very tasty variety of meals and make the some of the best tortillas around!
As a matter of fact I have to tip the tortilla lady before I leave because she is just that awesome at making those tortillas! I love to make her day by giving her a thumbs up when I walk by her glassed booth. Yes that is right they have a glass booth so that the patrons can watch her making those tasty tortillas.

Well I thought that Sonic in Alvin Texas would be open by this weekend...
I was told earlier in the week that they may open tomorrow, Saturday! But  NO THEY ARE NOT!  I spoke to the power that knows and he said not tomorrow. Soooo….
Sonic has been scheduled to be open the middle of September so all of you out there don’t kill me just because!
