I read an interesting article in Sunday's Houston Chronicle.  The headline read "Houston ‘top of the list in home building' in the country."  The story went on to talk about the slump in the rest of the country compared to the evenness of the Houston market.  They touted the reasons for the better outlook in Houston in part due to oil companies consolidating operations here and moving employees in to man those operations.
