The Federal Reserve cut the benchmark federal funds rate by one quarter-point to 4.5 percent.

DC Average Sales By Neighborhood for September - 10/31/07 12:33 PM
Here are some statistics on average sales prices for the month of September broken down into several popular neighborhoods.  In most cases, prices have steadily increased this year.  Since January, average prices in Washington, DC, as a whole have increased 14.75%.  The largest increases we have witnessed this year to date have been in Georgetown, where average sales prices have increased 87.47%, and Foxhall, where average sales prices have increased 64.02%.  There have been small decreases in average sales price in Logan Circle (-14.89%), Brookland (-14.91%), Eckington (-8%), and Adams Morgan (-1.60%).

DC Monument Tour - 10/30/07 02:51 PM
Recently we had our friend Steve in town who is a US history and war buff.  He was so excited to have the chance to see the awesome monuments we all live so close to and take for granted on a daily basis.  Washington, DC, is such a wonderful place to live, and it is always exciting for friends and family to come visit.  You never have a hard time getting visitors!  Here is a little recap of some of our most spectacular and poignant memorials commemorating some of the most important moments in our nation's history.

Fuzzy Family Members - 10/29/07 11:16 AM
We all adore the furry members of our families.  These are my two babies, Rosco and Panther.  I am sure you can guess who is who.  The dog is Panther.  Just kidding.  The point is, that no matter how much we love these little cutie pies, not everyone does.  I know.  Shocking.  How can Rosco's one-ear-up confused facial expression not melt your heart?  I have no idea.
When selling your home, keep in mind that not everyone finds pets (and their corresponding odors) endearing.   Some buyers looking at homes may have been attacked by a dog as a child and be petrified of … (5 comments)
