Short Trips - Starting New
With the addition of Jehanne from Paris to our family this school year, we've been taking a lot of short trips to show off Arizona and vicinity to her. 

It's been fun - A Mountain, Gates Pass, Tombstone, Colossal Cave, Tucson Padres Baseball, Rangers Ice Hockey, Albuquerque, Grand Canyon, Sedona, Monument Valley, Jerome, Christmas events, Kitt Peak, Petrified Forest, The Crater, San Diego, Los Angeles, Painted Desert, Salt River...

Don't worry about that extra cookie and last piece of fudge...run it off at the Egg Nog Jog this Sunday!

The annual "non-competitive race" begins at Continental Reserve Park in Continental Ranch, Marana AZ Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 8 a.m.  It's 5K, running through the scenic neighborhood with mountain views, and fun for the entire family!
Egg nog, food, drinks and more are available after the race, and even better - participants receive a free t-shirt. There's even a prize raffle!

Family and holidays - they tend to go together and if you have family, you know it's a blessing.  I've spent more holidays alone than ever together in my life, so I am counting and counting, believe me.
Christmas Eve found my husband and I making some quick stops at several past clients' homes to drop off cookies and Merry Christmas wishes.  The last stop I built in more time, and we spent an hour with a client of mine two years' past now - unfortunately, the husband passed away quite suddenly just … (1 comments)

David shares a wonderful list that we all can find items to add to our daily routine.  The  little things DO matter, and all can add up to a Greener 2012.  I just bought this fantastic water-filter/water bottle contraption for my husband this Christmas - so we can keep reusing quite conveniently!  I never thought about donating used towels to an animal shelter - but that's on my list during the January white sales!

Been spending a lot of time showing our French student for the year how we prepare for Christmas in Arizona!
We usually set up artificial trees, but we let her have one of her own this year - so we ended up with three trees!  Good thing we don't live in an apartment!


Then we made candy for gifts!

And cookies for sharing!

However you prepare for Christmas or your own seasonal holiday, I hope you find much love, fun, and enjoyment in the process.

If ever you want to brush up on copywrite issues, thoughts, practices, and lessons...I recommend checking out Lenn Harley.  She's shared a LOT of food for thought and I learned early on that I'd best be careful with photos.  In fact, in most cases, I'd just be better off sharing my own,

even if I'm not the best photographer in the world.

It's amazing how a photo can brighten up an otherwise tame subject.

Add to the action, and

Add beauty.

Provide emotion.

They say everyone's a critic, but if you ask me, this looks like a great advertisement for soft.  Unfortunately, you can't see the brand, or I'd send it in to them for an endorsement of their product!

A Five Star Day

My mother called yesterday morning to tell me that the newspaper said it was a five star day for me.  (I am assuming she read some horoscope thing...)
During the course of the day I gussied up one of my listings, attended the TAR Charity Foundation meeting for 2012 fundraising ideas, got an offer on one of my listings, and had the handyman over.
Seems we need a new dishwasher, and a new kitchen faucet.
Doesn't sound all that five star to me...
Today she called again to tell me it's ANOTHER five star day.

I've started a new advertising campaign to compliment my online social networking.  My goal is to visually cement myself in the local community,  strengthening my brand along with homes for sale Tucson, Marana, and Oro Valley.  
It's a 24 week process, started Thanksgiving week, and includes video, television, YouTube video and listing in the NALA Business Directory as well.  I am the only real estate agent that will be advertising in this branch of Fry's grocery stores, and the next closest store is a good 15 minutes away.
