Way back in 1797 inventors were busy trying to make the whole process of clothes washing a little bit easier.
The first US patent was granted to a fellow by the name of Nathaniel Briggs on March 28. In 1843 wringer rolls came about to make that original washer just a little bit better.
Now there's all kinds of devices...and all kinds of colors. You can even set them to wash at a certain time!

The market statistics are really changing out in Gladden Farms, a master-planned community just a few minutes west of I-10 off Tangerine Farms road.
In my last quarterly report, 69 homes were active, active contingent, active capa and pending, compared with our current numbers at 100.
Here's what's interesting: Only 7 of those are ACTIVE listings for sale. Buyers have discovered that this immaculate, pride-of-ownership community is a good place to be.

I was lucky enough to have met Linda and to take in her lovely assortment of hand-made mosaic pieces at the Marana Winterfest with proceeds benefiting the Marana Food Bank. Just a treasure! I wonder if she'll be at the Fourth Avenue Street Fair this next weekend in Tucson, AZ?

New upfront MIP = 1.75% - added to loan New montly MIP = 1.25% - added to payment Hm....I just got the email this morning, and it sounds like change is in the air for FHA requirements again. In order to have that low down payment, you're going to have to pay more in fees, and more surcharges are going to be added to your monthly payment. The Tucson Festival of Books is a two-day event with hundreds of authors available at the University of Arizona Campus. Beginning at 9 am. visit the campus to ask questions, have gooks signed, and take in the hundreds of exhibitions and events!
In addition, tonight at 7 p.m. the festival will be screening Paul Newman's 1963 film, "The Hud". It will be shown on a 30 x 30' screen in the Main Gate Square, just west of the main campus.

Ahh, Spring. Perhaps it seems doubly nice since our 5 day visit to Green Bay, WI, but to me, there's nothing like discovering new blooms and beauty when out for a daily walk.
Gladden Farms in Marana has miles of public pathways and bike trails, waterways filled with trees and shrubbery, and mountain views...but I find my eyes get drawn to the bright spots in folks' front yards.

This blog posting is going to take me over the 300,000 mark here in Active Rain and I've done a lot of thinking about blogging and Active Rain lately. In fact, much more thinking than posting!
