buying a home in marana: Buying a New Home - Homes for Sale in Marana, AZ - 06/12/17 12:33 PM
Buying a New Home  - Homes for Sale in Marana, AZ
There’s a lot of folks out there, not from Arizona, that have HEARD of Tucson, but respond with raised eyebrows and lots of questions when we mention the town, Marana.
Some call it Mah Rain uh, some Ma RAH nah, some Ma – ran – nuh....call it what you like, it’s a wonderful place to live.  Situated just about 20 minutes NW of Tucson, mostly along Interstate 10, Marana was named for its  dense mesquite thickets that covered the area originally.  Provider of award-winning resorts and golf courses, farmland, cotton crops, housing … (0 comments)

buying a home in marana: I Do, I Do, I Do - How to Facilitate that Loan Approval - 03/03/17 07:35 AM
Buyers read a lot of DONT'S when making a loan application here in Tucson and Marana, AZ, and it can be a scary process. Today's let's focus on some of the DO's and how you can help make this process easier!
DO's
DO call your mortgage professional if you have any questions, and feel free to run those questions by your REALTOR as well. We are not specialists, but sometimes we can help with simple questions.
DO provide ALL of the paperwork they need, completely. Yes, they really do need the blank back side, because without it, how would they know if … (3 comments)

buying a home in marana: Know Your Budget When Buying a Home - 03/02/17 07:53 AM
I just read a great little blog posting by @CoreyMartin and got to reflecting on his first point.  http://activerain.com/blogsview/5016720/6-things-to-look-for-when-buying-a-home
He wrote:  1- Know your budget. It is important that you buy a home at a price that you’re comfortable with.
I can't tell you how many times I've had that discussion with my buyer clients.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE know what payment you will be comfortable with...not how much the lender says you can afford.  Most of us want a life outside of our mortgage payments!
CONTRARY to what the "internet says", your average REALTOR does not want to earn a higher commission by you … (3 comments)

buying a home in marana: Life in Dove Mountain, Marana, AZ - 12/01/15 12:31 AM
Life in Dove Mountain, Marana, AZ
The Twin Peaks Interchange has certainly made this Marana Dove Mountain community more accessible, and more attractive for new home buyers. Sixteen neighborhoods (The Reserve, The Villages, The Bluffs, Dos Lagos, The Retreat, Canyon Pass, Dove Creek, Solana, Quail Crossing, The Preserve, Residences at Ritz Carlton, The Gallery, Saguaro Forest, Del Webb, Tortolita Reserve and The Highlands at Dove Mountain) make up the communities along Dove Mountain Blvd, which is what Twin Peaks turns into as you pass Tangerine Road going north.
Dove Mountain is also the home of the Ritz-Carlton, a 4 Star hotel and resort, … (2 comments)

buying a home in marana: Buying or Selling in The Bluffs at Dove Mountain, Marana? - 01/09/15 11:55 PM
Buying or Selling in The Bluffs at Dove Mountain, Marana?

When I think about the scenic beauty the Tucson area has to offer homeowners, one of the first communities to come to mind is the Bluffs at Dove Mountain in Marana.  Slightly elevated, homeowners often get a city AND mountain view, and the preserve area surrounding the lots is available in this lovely neighborhood of 122 homes.
Looking at the Bluffs at Dove Mountain and what the market is currently doing there, I see that there are seven homes for sale.  I've held open houses at one of them, and the … (1 comments)

buying a home in marana: Buying a Home - 12/27/13 11:03 PM

John has some great, great points in his blog.  However, I know that in my Dove Mountain Long Realty Office, floor duty is mandatory for all but 3 agents, and even those fill in on occassion.  Walking into an office doesn't mean you won't find a quality agent -- but be sure to ask pertinent questions about expertise and experience!  And I have to say, just because an agent has 20 signs out in a neighborhood, doesn't mean you'll be working for them, or that their work is sheer perfection.  It likely means they have a team...and if you talk with … (2 comments)
