Yes (Vegas Bob) is on the move again, a "Rolling Stone gathers no moss"
My wife and I are headed to a (Area) that has a number behind it. It is about a 3 hour drive north of Las Vegas Nevada.
I have two cameras, three lens, extra batteries and extra sim cards for the cameras. We will be taking photographs along the way and when we reach our destination. If there is a place to stay when we get there, then we will do an over-nighter. I really don't think there will be a place … (6 comments)

This photograph above was taken right in the middle of Death Valley and there were Palm trees every where, it was so beautiful, green and alive.

The photo above is of Old Dinah that dates back to 1894

Hiking at Red Rock Canyon - Las Vegas - Nevada by: Robert Swetz - 02/25/09 07:51 PM

When I first moved to Las Vegas, it was almost one year before anyone mentioned to me about Red Rock Canyon. And once I received a taste of the beauty that surrounds the Red Rock Canyon area, I was hooked.
If you live in Las Vegas, you know what I am talking about. And for anyone that has been to Las Vegas and never been to Red Rock Canyon, well........sorry!

Our visit to Death Valley by: Robert Swetz - 02/23/09 10:34 PM

We had a wonderful time in Death Valley and the different colors of the sand and mountains is breath taking. We may have planed our visit a little early because the flowers bloom in March some time, so we will be taking another drive to Death Valley in March.
In the photograph above it looks like water or ice in the middle of the picture, but that is salt!
The photos below show the many different colors of sand to create the striped colored mountains.

Below is another photo and the different colors.

I am driving to Death Valley to shoot some photographs! - 02/21/09 09:15 AM

I am driving to Death Valley today to shoot some photographs!
It is only a three hour drive from Las Vegas and my wife and I might stay for a couple days. I have never been to Death Valley and I have heard the best time to go in now because towards summer the temps can get up to 140 degrees.
There is area there that is the lowest elevation in North America. I am bringing my cameras so if there is anything alive in Death Valley I will make sure I get a photograph of it.

Beautiful Pink Clouds! by Robert Swetz - 02/20/09 09:32 PM

This beautiful photograph of pink clouds I have posting to a special group I formed about 4 months ago called:

The group has some wonderful members with some wonderful photographs of clouds. So when your cruising around town, the country or just hanging out in a park some where, make sure you have your camera at hand. I always keep a camera in the trunk of my car so when ever some clouds creep up on me like these did I just snap a photo.

When should a Duties Owed Contract be signed? - 02/19/09 10:11 PM
When should a Duties Owed Contract be signed?
What is a Duties Owed Contract?
After a buyer shows interest in purchasing a home or a seller shows interest in listing a home, when should a Duties Owed be signed?
(Buyers)  Before showing properties? Before close of escrow? After close of escrow? When?
(Sellers)  Before signing a listing agreement? After signing a listing agreement? After close of escrow.

I am searching for Opinions on Dual Agency Contracts?
Through out my years in Real Estate I have never represented both the buyer & seller within a Dual Agency Contract.
Although there have been many Real Estate transactions through the history of Real Estate that have done Dual Agency Contracts, is it a good idea?
Is it really fair to represent both parties in a transaction?
Are the liabilities greater within a Dual Agency Contract?

The number (one) thing that sets Activerain apart from the other networks is .........

What is up with this couple and what are they wearing? - 02/13/09 09:08 PM

The lady is wearing a very colorful dress with some very pretty jewelry. But the guy has some kind of flower on his shirt, or is that a chief outfit. And what is up with that thing on his head and what is it anyway, maybe half of a gold Mickey Mouse ear?
I wanted to share this photo because Valentines day is around the corner and I thought to myself, what a strange cute couple!

Is the United States of America getting closer to becoming a third world country? - 02/12/09 10:32 PM

More and more people are losing their jobs and homes continue to go into foreclosure. Sure sales have been swinging up, but so have the foreclosures and short sales.
This economy continues to go into a tail spin and it is going to be very difficult to change. It will take many, many years to bring back what we once had.
It doesn't really matter who's fault it is because it will not change the situation.

Which in turn would give me the opportunity to sell them some Real Estate because I am a licensed agent.

I formed a group named DAVID BOWIE and had posted many blogs with other peoples work because my work, photos, albums, etc, have been sitting back in one of my homes in the Midwest collecting dust. I took off most of the attachments and left my words.
Well I dusted off my collection and … (3 comments)

In the next few days I will be hitting the big 200,000 in points, I'm scared! - 02/04/09 09:51 PM
In the next couple of days I am going to be hitting the big 200,000 in points and I am very excited about it and I am a little scared.
One year at Activerain and 200k, not bad for a guy that put his first blog out with (any) network in 1-1-2008.
I hope nothing bad happens when you hit these large numbers.

With all these buyers that want to purchase homes, how do they get them financed? - 02/04/09 09:34 PM
With all these buyers that want to purchase homes, how do they get them financed?
This is a question that is flying around the World of Real Estate. No matter where your trying to sell Real Estate people are waiting in line to purchase a home. The biggest problem is no lenders want to finance them.
All the lenders come around like (Sharks) with their statements I can get you financed. Then after everything is said and done the loan officer/ lender says sorry we can't get you financed.
Now after about 4-5 of these encounters and running their credit the … (2 comments)

I have also been very bored lately, I do become bored very easly. Yes Robert has weeknesses and I am willing to share them with others.

Where is this in Las Vegas - Nevada? by: Robert Swetz
There are many stain glass skylights in Las Vegas and this one is extra special, do you know what casino on (The Strip) this window is in?

This fat man for Lucky Brand Jeans has been around at one of the casinos on (The Strip) for ever. When we first moved here many years ago we stopped by to rub his belly for good luck. Do you know where this is?

Here is a photo of a huge crystal ball that hangs over some escalators in a … (6 comments)

Beautiful Bonnie Springs Ranch in Nevada by: Robert Swetz - 02/02/09 08:12 PM

Bonnie Springs Ranch was originally built in 1843 as a stop over for the wagon trains going to California down the Old Spanish Trail.
In 1846, General Fremont, on his way to California, stopped at what is now Bonnie Springs Ranch to gear up for his trip through Death Valley. Since 1952, the ranch has been used as a tourist attraction. Often called "an oasis in the desert", where you can stop for a cool drink of spring water.
Bonnie Springs Ranch got its start back in the early 1950's when Al Levinson, a recently arrived New Yorker, met and … (9 comments)

But these two girls, well they are quite special to me. Our daughter Cherry on the left and my wife Nu Nu on the right.
Our daughter has not yet been allowed to enter the United States of America and they won't tell us why? I think maybe because … (4 comments)

It's Sunday and I will be going out hiking around the mountains at Red Rock Canyon today. I received a email from a Activerain member and their daughter is visiting Las Vegas for a school credit.
