Now is the time to start preparing for the event, because April will come faster than you think ;o/
Here is a one great video of several that I took on my visit to Myanmar in 2010, and I also attended Water Festival in 2008. All I can say is these Burmese know how to have fun and celebrate.     And talk about getting wet ...

"NEW YEARS" Water Festival in Myanmar/ Burma is going on right now! Cities across the whole country of Myanmar close businesses for 5 days straight including the weekend gives the Burmese a total of 9 days to celebrate.
I have been to the "Water Festival" in Yangon Myanmar 3 different years and it is quite exciting. For a country with all it's problems these people really know how to celebrate and have fun.
Take a look at one of the many videos that I took celebrating "Water Festival" in Yangon Myanmar ... ;o)

These children from Myanmar/ Burma would like to say "Good Morning America" ...

On our last visit to Myanmar/ Burma we came across these Burmese preparing their fishing nets and traps for fishing. These cute little Burmese children ... one older boy and three very young ladies caught Vegas Bob's eye as we were walking by.
I took some video and snapped several photographs ... it didn't take very much for VB to get these children to laugh as I took this photograph because they are not use to seeing Americans on this little island by the India Ocean … (9 comments)

burmese: Is it possible (HILLARY CLINTON or Aung San Suu Kyi) may have viewed Vegas Bob's blogs, photographs & videos of Myanmar/ Burma? - 12/02/11 03:27 PM

Is it possible (HILLARY CLINTON or Aung San Suu Kyi) may have viewed Vegas Bob's blogs, photographs & videos of Myanmar/ Burma?

The answer to this question would be ... YES!
Robert (Vegas Bob) Swetz has been plugging the Internet with hundreds & thousands of blogs, photographs & videos of Myanmar/ Burma for around 7 years now. VB has traveled to Myanmar 5 different times in the last seven years and lives with 6 family members from Myanmar, very few of them speak English so VB's home is actually like a home in Myanmar.
VB's Burmese family is very-very … (19 comments)

burmese: What is Vegas Bob's wife Nu Nu doing on stage with this famous Burmese Singer? - 07/30/11 01:03 PM
Could it be that Vegas Bob is jealous of his wife Nu Nu? Here is a post I wrote earlier today ...
"Latest Gossip" Could Vegas Bob's marriage be on the rocks?  VB shot around 2 hours of video footage of some very famous Burmese singers that flew in from Myanmar/ Burma. After shooting all this video footage and Nu Nu not coming home maybe Vegas Bob's mind was racing! VB better get use to this because Nu Nu was a singer/ dancer in Myanmar/ Burma for 10 years before she met him.
"This is tough for Vegas Bob"

burmese: Smiling faces from Burmese children wishing you "Good Night" - 07/09/11 05:46 PM

Robert & Nu Nu ran into these children on a small island of the coast of Myanmar/ Burma in 2010. They couldn't speak a word of English and were quite amazed when they saw me. At first they were very quiet but after Nu Nu started speaking Burmese to them they became very excited with laughter and smiles.
These children live a very different life then many children around the world. They have no television, radios, microwaves, showers, refrigerators and all the luxuries that we have here in America and other parts of the world.

burmese: Can Lenn Harley or Patricia Kennedy please tell me why the "Burmese" are moving to Maryland, DC & Virginia? - 08/17/10 02:46 PM
Can Lenn Harley or Patricia  Kennedy please tell me why the "Burmese" are moving to Maryland, DC & Virginia?

There have been quite a few party celebrations for some of our "Burmese" friends in Las Vegas Nevada. The reason for the parties is because our "Burmese" friends are headed to the East Coast because they have been losing their jobs in Las Vegas.
The "Burmese Buzz" is there are jobs for them on the East Coast - Washington DC & Maryland. So I thought I would throw this post out there and see if these two young ladies might be … (6 comments)

burmese: Robert Swetz's Family continues to arrive in the United States - 08/30/09 05:52 PM

I never thought in a million years that my family would have grown as big as it has, but my relations from Myanmar (Burma) continue to come to America. Two people in this these photographs are visiting from Myanmar and I can't even pronounce their names let alone spell them, but I will learn.
People from Myanmar (Burma) are very family orientated people and family is number one. And since I married a sweet young lady from Myanmar, her family has become mine.
They all love and respect their first and only American out of over 250 relatives, I guess you … (13 comments)

burmese: Women hand sewing beautiful Burmese rugs in Burma - 03/27/09 04:38 PM

I captured these women hand sewing these rugs for a wall decoration or throwing over your bed. As you can see they are all hand done and very beautiful when there finished. The women were very excited when we came by with my camera and were a little shy at first, but got over it real quick.
This photograph was taken in Mandalay Myanmar (Burma) and the rugs sell for about $30.00 American dollars.
Can anyone tell me who this Happy character is at the end of the table? I don't really think she's part of the group!

Yes I was busted on Sunday at a huge gathering at the Buddhist Monastery in Las Vegas Nevada. These two young ladies made me pose for them for this photograph. (photo above)

It was a very large gathering over 100 people from Thailand and about 60 from Burma. There was free Thai & Burmese food and some cake & sweets for desert.

In the photo above there is a little girl looking at all the money on these little trees for donation.

In the photo above are several of the people gathered at the party.

 Let's get Positive!
Nobody likes a Depressing blog, so I am following this one with a more positive note from my previous post.
Things are going GREAT in Las Vegas Nevada, I have been selling so many homes it's like the market back in 2004.
I have been making so much money I am looking for investments around the country so I can retire early.
I am in great health for my age, I have a warm and loving family that thinks the world of me.
I am debt free and want to stay that way.

burmese: If you were going to show these men homes, where would you start? - 01/08/09 05:19 PM

If you were going to show these men homes, where would you start?
Let's just say that all these men are interested in looking at properties, where would you begin? Which one would you show first? Would you draw straws or go after the man with the most money.
And where are the women? Did they leave them at home or are they in the boat behind this one.
I really like this photograph and no it wasn't taken in America.
I wanted to post this photo with my blog because they may come a time when you will get … (11 comments)

Does anyone recognize any of these people?
Anyone that knows my blogs by now may recognize several persons in this photograph. There are two for sure that you have seen around, and the other two may be more difficult. There are a total of 4 persons that I would like for you to point out.
The other children are a bunch of other little tourist guides when I was on vacation in Myanmar (Burma). They all wanted to tell me stories of their town, but there were only a couple that spoke English. All the rest spoke Burmese.
