Alaska Bob aka Robert Vegas Bob Swetz is getting very excited about his next visit to Alaska.
Alaska Bob will be spending Christmas with his new family up in Anchorage.
AB will also be spending the cold winter days of January & possibly February.
Because I will be spending time during the winter months, I thought I would share some photos that I took around the mountains back in November of 2014.
And for anyone wondering how Vegas Bob is going to handle the long cold winter days & nights of Alaska.
Well, I was raised in the Midwest with very similar winter temps as Anchorage or Homer Alaska.

Lucile Lake Wasilla Alaska by Robert Swetz 2014
Alaska Bob aka Robert Swetz/Vegas Bob will be traveling from Homer Alaska to Lucile Lake in Wasilla today July 15th 2015.
Vegas Bob will be stopping in Anchorage to pick up a few things and then drive to Wasilla which is a 45 minute drive from Anchorage.
Alaska Bob and family will be staying at a hotel on Lucile Lake for several days, relaxing and maybe even do a little fishing off the dock.
Other parts of the day on Alaska Bob's visit to the Wasilla area, he will be hiking around the beautiful area of Hatchers Pass … (23 comments)

For any of you out there that are caught up and or possibly controlled by money, please try and take a break.
Sure Money is important for paying bills, getting ahead and or keeping up with the "Jones" ...
But did you know for the most part, many of us can make money anytime?
And did you know that if many of us were to budget more and or get rid of some of the material and or garbage we have collected over the years that we would have more money and time for our families?
Time with our families, relatives and close friends cannot be replaced.

Colorful Lake Reflections from Alaska
The excitement continues to push Robert Vegas Bob Swetz into posting blogs with photographs from Alaska.
Within the next ten days, Alaska Bob, aka Robert Swetz will be in Alaska.
The first three days will be spent fishing in Homer, the next three days will be spent at Lucile Lake in Wasilla, and the balance of the ten days will be spent hiking around Hatchers Pass around Wasilla and Anchorage.

As everyone knows by now Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has serveral family connections in Alaska.
Between Anchorage, Seward, Homer and Wasilla, Robert Swetz will be traveling, fishing and taking photographs ... and videos.

How many people out there are ready for June? And where did the month of May go?
Time keeps slipping away very fast in 2015 and Robert "Vegas Bob" Swetz is very excited about time passing by.
Even though Vegas Bob is getting older, he is getting closer to retirement and the second week of July, VB will be bonding with his family and fishing in Alaska.
So Robert Swetz hopes the month of June goes by even faster than the month of May.

Vegas Bob has been very busy entertaining his wife for the last 5 days.
I was very sad when I dropped her off at the San Jose airport at 5:00am, but I know we will soon be together again.
I am planning a fishing trip for 2 weeks in Alaska around the middle of July, so we will be together.

I am very excited about setting up a charter boat to fish Halibut in Homer Alaska.
I have a relative that lives in Wasila Alaska that has lived in Alaska now for 7 years. Well he has fished off charter boats in Homer for several years now.
He is setting up a trip around the 3rd week of June this year. Price per person is $300 dollars and persons fishing can keep 2 halibut fish. The weight of halibut fish can run from 30 lbs to 300+ give or take.

Mammoth Lakes located in central California is one of Vegas Bob's favorite hang outs during the summer months. When the temps in Las Vegas are reaching 110 plus VB likes to jump in the car with the family and take a 6 hour drive north west to Mammoth Lakes.
The elevation is around 7000 feet which helps create much cooler temps along with breath taking views. Take a look at this beautiful photo that took on one of my visits to Mammoth Lakes. Robert (Vegas Bob) Swetz his brother and some friends went to "Willow Beach" fishing for trout on the Colorado River 8-26-2012. Willow Beach is located approximately 20 miles south of the Hoover Dam/ Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, and is in Arizona with Nevada across the river.
While we were fishing for trout some BIG HORN SHEEP came down from the cliffs several times to drink water and visit with Vegas Bob & friends. Sunday, April 29, 2012 "Good Night" from the beaches of CAPITOLA California With warm temperatures on the Pacific Coast what a better way to spend the weekend than at Capitola California only minutes south from Santa Cruz. Capitola was packed with surfers, girls in bikinis, children and more. There were so many people at Capitola that Robert Vegas Bob Swetz had to walk up the beach to get away from the crowds of people.
