nevada: (BEWARE) OF GAS STATIONS & EMISSIONS TEST CENTERS FOR YOUR CAR - 07/20/08 12:27 PM
I am putting this email/ post out to warn people about Terrible Herbst Gas Stations in Las Vegas-Nevada and the surrounding state.
Yesterday, 7-20-2008 I brought my 2002 Toyota Camery into Terrible Herbst gas station #184   8590 West Lake Mead Blvd. Las Vegas-Nevada, 89134
I needed a oil change and emissions test done to get renewal license taps for my car. When I went in I told the lady that I needed a oil change and a emissions test done. She said you have to have the emissions test done first. I asked her why won't you change my oil first because I was already parked … (5 comments)

nevada: PROPERTY FOR SALE BY OWNER - 07/17/08 05:12 PM
This property is approximately .25 acres with breathtaking 180 degree views of the lake.
Walker Lake is the 3rd largest lake in the state of Nevada. Lake Mead being off limits and even the views are rare, Lake Tahoe is so expensive that millionaires are shut out.
Walker Lake is stocked with trout and in a beautiful setting, similar to Lake Tahoe you can live on it and use it everyday in many ways.
Most of Walker Lake is controlled by the government so private shoreline is almost nonexistent and the mountains surrounded by the property are awe-inspiring!
Sales price for this … (5 comments)

nevada: EARNEST MONEY SHOWS YOU'RE SERIOUS - 07/17/08 10:28 AM
Earnest money shows you're seriousTypically when an offer to purchase a house is made, you, as the buyer, will also pay an "earnest money" deposit.  This deposit shows the seller that you're serious about the offer to purchase the property.
The amount of earnest money deposit varies based on the type of property being purchased and local market conditions.  As your real estate professional, I'll help you determine the appropriate amount to pay as an earnest money deposit.
The sales contract will dictate who holds the earnest money.  Usually the seller's real estate agent will deposit the earnest money in a … (0 comments)

nevada: wanted: (YOUNG SINGLE ATTRACTIVE FEMALE) - 07/07/08 11:39 AM

Real Estate agents are a dime a dozen, they are everywhere. All I hear from people is:   My Sister, Brother, Mother, Aunt, Uncle, Father, Cousin, Neighbor, Friend, etc sells Real Estate. I have heard from people that every other person in California sells, sold, or is about to sell Real Estate.
It's almost like a Insurance sales agent, Mortgage agent, Car sales person, Attorney, etc. Real Estate agents are everywhere, and if your not giving it 100% it is very difficult to make it!
What sets us apart from other agents? Age, appearance, clothes, car, office, marketing, knowledge, gender, company we work … (20 comments)

nevada: The Story of 'OLD GLORY' for The Fourth of July! - 07/03/08 03:43 AM

"OLD GLORY!"
This famous name was coined by Captain William Driver, a ship-master of Salem, Massachusetts, in 1831. As he was leaving on one of his many voyages aboard the brig CHARLES DOGGETT - and this one would climax with the rescue of the mutineers of the BOUNTY - some friends presented him with a beautiful flag of twenty four stars. As the banner opened to the ocean breeze for the first time, he exclaimed "Old Glory!"

He retired to Nashville in 1837, taking his treasured flag from his sea days with him. By the time the Civil War … (4 comments)

nevada: ANOTHER SHOT OF OLD GLORY, Please forgive me for posting another! - 07/02/08 09:50 AM
" Have a Happy Fourth of July and please be safe "
This shot of (OLD GLORY) was shot at The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas-Nevada. It was taken in 2006 at the conservatory. The conservatory at The Bellagio Hotel is where the hotel displays themes 4 times per year on the seasons. Spring, they will display one theme, summer another and so forth.
Many tourists make sure to not miss the displays presented at The Bellagio Hotel because the displays are very impressive and are built with hundreds of thousands of flowers. Next visit to Las Vegas, make sure … (3 comments)

nevada: WATER MARK AT HOOVER DAM/ NEVADA - 06/30/08 11:04 AM
Here is a pic of the Hoover dam shot last year, if you look real close in the back ground you can see a water mark in white when the water was that high. The water mark measures between 80-90 feet, which might sound discouraging to anyone that might want to relocate to Las Vegas.
There are many huge, huge wells in Las Vegas that hold hundreds and thousands of gallons of water. Which means Las Vegas does not have a shortage of water and will not any time soon.
