Here are 2 photographs that I took on Saturday while drive the coastline of that Pacific Coast in Big Sur California.
I have a great time taking photos and it wasn't a super clear day because of the fires in Big Sur and there was also a ocean fog.
But for the most part the trip was wonderful and these photos were taken either with a Canon Rebel, Nikon D90 or a Apple 6+

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz was in Big Sur taking photographs
Robert Swetz spent all of Saturday driving along Pacific Coast Hwy 1 taking photographs of beautiful Big Sur located approx one hour south of Monterey California.
I spent approx 3 hrs driving back and forth and around 1 hr taking photographs in between the drive.
I used two 35mm cameras and a Apple 6+ for photographs. I will be posting three different posts, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday as Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 with the name Big Sur in the title.

Snapshots of 100 year old homes in Santa Cruz by Robert Swetz
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz spent the whole day Saturday in Santa Cruz California staying out of the extreme heat in San Jose.
Vegas Bob usually parks away from the crowds up on the bluff of West Cliff Drive and Cowell Street overlooking the bluff to Santa Cruz Pier.
West Cliff Drive is a beautiful area filled with homes that date back 100 years, and as I walked along the roads where I parked my car I snapped a view photos.

Thank God it's finally Friday ...
Even though it's been a short week Vegas Bob's body is tired along with his brain.
So many thoughts have been racing into VB's brain like ... Should I retire, should I build a retirement home for 3 seasons in Alaska? Should I buy a small home in Georgia, Northern California, Utah or Minnesota for retirement.
So this weekend VB is going to purchase a portable lawn chair, set it up in the shade under a tree along the beach of the pacific coast in California and try and clear his mind of all these thoughts and prepare himself for … (22 comments)

The Activerain network had a little niche and members were unable to load up photos onto their posts. Well Bob Stewart gave a shout to the techies when he heard about the problem.
The problem has been taken care of and here is the proof.
This photo was taken yesterday on my drive from Half Moon Bay to Santa Cruz.

Oceanside California San Diego County by Robert Swetz
Robert Swetz has been traveling to Oceanside, Carlsbad, Laguna Beach and many other beach towns in southern California for around 40 years now.
My first visit to San Diego County and southern California was when I was age 17 years old.
Since then I cannot get enough of the Pacific Coast in SoCal and after spending several months in Alaska, I have really been thinking about areas of San Diego.

Is there a Magical place where people can't control you?
Alaska Bob aka Vegas Bob is always searching for Magical quiet place where he can be alone, free his mind of all the mumble jumble of city life, certain people, etc.
AB/VB feels he shouldn't have to drive or travel 100's of 1000's of miles to get away from Control Freaks.
Vegas Bob has been making his decisions in his life since he was around 15 years old.
Vegas Bob's stepmother was all about controlling him when he was a teenager, sick and tired of it VB left home.

Unbelievable ... Alaska Bob aka Vegas Bob finally was able to get Internet service where he is staying in Morgan Hill California.
Saturday Robert Swetz spent around 5 hours at the beaches of BIG SUR, relaxing and hiking around.
In fact VB hiked down some cliffs that other travelers were scared to hike down.
Which gave VB the whole beach to enjoy with his higher power ... God ;o)
As I sat there in privacy, I spoke with my higher power working on which direction he wanted me to go.

New horizons continue to take place for Alaska Bob & Vegas Bob, and a quick heads-up ... both AB & VB are the same person = Robert Swetz
Vegas Bob continues to work on a huge construction project in San Jose California, and this project will last till Nov-Dec of 2015.
Vegas Bob still owns a place in Las Vegas and with family there and a license to sell Real Estate, he will be keeping it for a while.

Some very colorful moments were spent at Capitola Beach in Santa Cruz County in California.
It was a beautiful 4th of July and the beach was packed with families, BBQ's, surfers and so much more.

Happiness for Vegas Bob just keeps falling into place, and here are several reasons why ...
Vegas Bob picked up a new book he has been reading and it has been doing wonders in the realm of happiness.
VB is only half way through the book, but a great moving book for him at this moment in life.
After working 6 days per week, VB and the other workers finally get a 2 day weekend.
VB is going to finish his book and hang out at the pacific coast around Santa Cruz California for 2 days ;o)

It's been a long week for Vegas Bob and I am very excited that it' Friday ...
Even though Vegas Bob has to work tomorrow he is very excited because the week is coming to a close end.
After work Saturday VB will be taking it easy around the Pacific Coast in NorCal.
Here is a photo VB took last year while visiting the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and take a look at the thickness of the cable used to construct and hold up the bridge.

As everyone in the world knows by now, I have only been using my old iPhone 4 for writing blogs and commenting to AR members blogs.
Here is what I can't figure out ...
For the last 2 months I have been taking photographs with my iPhone of the beaches, sunsets, surfers, and so much more around the Bay Area, and then loading them to Facebook.
Never a problem ...
So that being said, why won't the Activerain network allow me to post new photos from my iPhone?
