Clouds over Turnagain Arm Alaska by Robert Swetz
Turnagain Arm is located south of Anchorage and is located on the northwestern part of the Gulf of Alaska.
When driving south of Anchorage towards Girdwood, Seward, Hope, Homer, Soldotna and Kenai Alaska there are large mountain ranges and great views for taking photographs.
I have driven around the Turnagain Arm over 20 different times in the last 2 years while staying in Alaska and it seems like every time I drive it there are different clouds, shadows which make for new photos each time.

Fishhook Creek north of Wasilla south of Hatcher Pass Alaska
Fishhook Creek that runs north of the town of Wasilla Alaska is a very beautiful creek that cuts through the rock and canyon south of Hatcher Pass.
Here is a colorful photograph of Fishook Creek just before sunset and believe it or not this creek can be panned for gold. Many creeks around the mountains can be panned for gold, I have not done it myself but maybe some day.

Beautiful Seward Alaska
Here is a colorful photo of a small section of the bay and marina in Seward Alaska.
We drove down from Homer yesterday and spent some time walking around the downtown area and also hiking around Exit Glacier.
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has been coming back to visit Seward Alaska since his very first visit to Alaska back in 2001.
Seward is a very interesting place and most of the large cruise ships that visit Alaska from Seattle and many foreign countries port in Seward and tourists will then take charter buses to Anchorage, Denali National Park, Fairbanks and more.

Vegas Bob leaves beautiful Homer Alaska
The 2 day visit and fishing trip is over for Vegas Bob and his family in Homer Alaska, we are all packed with our frozen halibut in the cooler headed north to Seward.
In Seward we will stop by a famous glacier and then drive back to Anchorage.
After we hit Anchorage we will drop the frozen fish off at the house and then drive north to Wasilla where we will be staying at Lake Lucile.

Vegas Bob finally enjoys a day of sunshine in Alaska
Finally Vegas Bob aka Robert Swetz and his wife Lin spent the day together that was filled with sunshine and beauty.
Vegas Bob took many great photographs with his new camera around Palmer, Lake Lucile and some other lakes around Wasilla Alaska.
This photograph below is a mirror reflection of a chain of lakes only minutes north of Wasilla.
Please note: This photo was taken with Robert Swetz's Apple 6+ and he backed up this photo along with many others with his new Canon that he purchased for his trip to Alaska

Vegas Bob and family praying for sunshine in Alaska
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz was staying in Alaska from November 2015 to May 2016 so he had more than enough time to take photographs of snow, drissle and rain.
So now still being August and actually still summer Vegas Bob and family are hoping and praying for sunshine so we can play, fish and take photographs with some (Blue) color in the sky.
Vegas Bob has had plenty of sunshine living in California but the "Locals" in Alaska are getting tired of rain and would like some sunshine to brighten up their days.

Robert will be tucking in early tonight because he is packing and will be going to bed very early because his friend will be picking him up at 4:45am to go to the airport tomorrow morning.

Well time seems to be flying by fast because later tomorrow, Wednesday 8/24/2016 Robert Vegas Bob Swetz will be in Alaska.
It has been raining 95% of the time for around 3 weeks up around Anchorage, Homer & Seward Alaska so Vegas Bob is going to bring some California sunshine up to Alaska with his.
And California has fires burning up thousands of acres from NorCal to SoCal so Vegas Bob would like to bring of of that moisture and water down to California from Alaska.

That's right yesterday Saturday afternoon Vegas Bob was on the Internet shopping for a (New) camera.
Vegas Bob aka Robert Swetz has 2 Nikon 35mm camera bodies along with around 7 different lens attachments for the cameras.
Well the Nikon cameras and lens are older, some of the lens are dirty and need to be cleaned. So Vegas Bob has been wanting a new camera for many years! Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob has been taking photographs for over 35 years and when he comes across a strange object in the sky, he begins to wonder.
I begin to wonder what that green ball is in the cloud? Could it be a UFO? Maybe some aircraft from another country? A drone?
I have spent many late nights into early hours around AREA 51, parts of New Mexico and other states across the US looking into the sky. Looking at satellites, shooting stars and other moving objects.

Is this trick photography or creative photography?
With all the technology in our computers and smart phones it has become easy to photoshop and doctor up photographs. And with so much of it going on our definitions of doctored, photoshopped and trick photography continue to change.
This is quite a simple question and there may be a gray spot on the definition of this photograph below.

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz spent the whole day Saturday in Santa Cruz California staying out of the extreme heat in San Jose.
Vegas Bob usually parks away from the crowds up on the bluff of West Cliff Drive and Cowell Street overlooking the bluff to Santa Cruz Pier.
West Cliff Drive is a beautiful area filled with homes that date back 100 years, and as I walked along the roads where I parked my car I snapped a view photos.

Robert Swetz is getting very excited because in 2 weeks he will be with his family in Alaska fishing halibut in Homer Alaska.
I remember several months ago when I was booking a round trip flight from San Jose to Anchorage thinking I would have to wait forever, but now it's only 2 weeks away.
I am sure hoping the weather is going to be nice and sunny on my visit to Alaska because my wife mentioned it has been raining up in Anchorage everyday for almost 2 weeks.
