Friday Photos. Phun with a Telephoto Lens. Becoming a Better Photographer. - 09/23/11 09:12 AM




I want one of those super camera lenses that takes crystal clear sharp photos of bug's eyes and antennae.
Love those shots.  However those lenses can easily cost $900 and up. If you don't have one of those beauties, did you know that if you have a cheapo telephoto lens you can do decent close-ups?

Hey we're in a visual business eh? You wouldn't put a listing on the market with just one photo would you? No YOU wouldn't. My Grandma always said "we eat first with our eyes"  The same is true of blog posts.
Small densely packed text with minimal spacing and no pictures wears me out. AND I assume that it wears out any potential prospective readers.
Remember your blog posts are competing for viewers just like your listings.

Steve: Well Bill, school started the day after Labor Day here and has for decades. This year that date was Sept. 6.

Thank God for dogs. After a day of witnessing the continued effects of the money crisis, it is good to come home to 2 beings that are just happy to have food, shelter and close proximity to me.  They have very low expectations, their dreams of housing magnificence and keeping up in social standing with the dogs next door is non-existent.

Our adventure to the Seattle area is over :-(  What a great place to visit and I would live there in a heartbeat, rain or no rain.  As far as taking better photos is concerned, I would ship a better tripod and use a remote control shutter button, especially for night shots. I bought a cheap light weight travel tripod that swayed in the wind and moved when I depressed the shutter button. I lost my remote shutter release somewhere and should have bought another.
