My mom, is a former second-grade teacher. This small fact means that I have been subjected to more rhymes, prose, haiku - you name it! Although there is a lot of nonsense to those nursery rhymes; if you are selling your home, whether or not it was just built on Monday, it had better be "fair of face"! Too often, Sellers are caught up in misguided thinking that Buyers will simply take the home "as it is" and "make their own changes". Today, we had such a beautiful June day, perfect for a little drive down a country road, just outside of the city limits of San Antonio. I loved the curve of this road - hugged by the trees and lines with wildflowers.
This past week in real estate wasn't so tranquil (lending issues were truly tiresome), and I am looking forward to the idea that next week, there will be something wonderful just a bit further and around the corner... Sara … (4 comments)

There must be over a thousand square feet of tile in this home and getting it all laid and grouted has taken the week! The workers were able to get the master bathroom shower and tub surround tiled as well. The multi-colored glass inset tile looks great. The cultured marble counters were also installed in the secondary bathrooms. On the exterior, quite a bit of flatwork was completed. The driveway, front walkway and back porch were all poured. Now you can really see where those flower beds will go on the front of the home! The septic tank was also installed. … (3 comments)

Wow, I can't believe how much progress has gone on in the past 5-6 days since I last photographed at our Buyer's San Antonio home-building project! The rock facade is now up ( just ignore that temporary door...), the walls have been textured and moulding, shutters and interior doors have been delivered. This is when it really starts moving quickly. I can't wait until it's painted - mostly because the cabinet installation comes right after that! "San Antonio Home Building progress"

san antonio homes for sale: San Antonio Home Being Sheet-rocked

Here we are again, updating you on the progress on this San Antonio Building project. You can view last week's post here. Today, it was exciting to see that for such a large project (over 4700 square feet), this phase is moving along very quickly. The entire home is now sheet-rocked and the joints have been taped. As soon as the screws are covered with joint compound and the final skim coating of compound is dried, the walls will be textures. There was a bonus today - the stone masons were there installing the rock facade. I can't wait to see … (3 comments)
While on my way out to photograph a house in Glenwood Loop for some websites and print advertising, I happened upon this beautiful roadway garden of wildflowers. So today, I'm panning for gold with my camera. --Sara
