  One of the awesome sites to see in Washington D.C. is the Korean War memorial.  We waited until dusk to visit, as someone told my husband that it's the best time to go. We were told that to view this memorial at dusk with the fog rolling in is awesome. Well, I'm glad there wasn't any fog as I don't know how I could've handled that.

Our NAR trip to DC gave us some wonderful opportunities for some great shots!  Wore us out, but we walked to every site we could think of to see!
By moving to my left and putting the sun behind the monument, the entire shot changed.
This shot was taken about 1/2 an hour before the lower shot.  It's amazing how the sun changes your perspective.

The photo opportunities in Washington D.C. are astronomical.  This shot was taken by the Reflecting pond..  To me it looks like my husband and daughter were superimposed on the background,, love my little CoolPics camera. Does a wonderful job!
Of course, I'm not sure if my daughter was more tired of the posing or the walking that we did in D.C. 
The face recognition on this camera really pulled out my daughter on a dark night and brought the color of her clothing out wonderfully.
