I have had some phone calls about this and how to help, so I thought I would re-post for the general public... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=I have had my phone ringing off the hook over the last few days, and not because anyone wants to buy or sell a house, and not because anyone wants to lease ... instead, I've been answering phone calls from upset Realtors and their clients, because my client chose to go with a tenant that had a great credit history. New Housing Prices Increase at a Slow Pace (StatsCanada) - 06/11/08 09:41 AM
According to Statistics Canada, new housing prices increased at their slowest pace in more than two and a half years. Nationally, contractors' selling prices rose 5.2 per cent between April 2007 and April 2008.In March, the year-over-year increase was 6.1 per cent.April was the third consecutive month in which housing price increases have decelerated.It was also the month with the slowest rate of growth since September 2005, when year-over-year prices rose by 4.9 per cent. STEADY Housing Market (GTA) - 06/09/08 02:02 PM
The Greater Toronto Area resale housing market recorded 9,411 transactions in May, Toronto Real Estate Board President Maureen O'Neill announced. On a year-over-year basis the GTA average price increased four per cent to $398,148 in May from the May 2007 average of $382,787. Prices increased three per cent in the City of Toronto to $434,271 from $422,163 during the same period a year ago, while in the 905 Region there was a five per cent increase to $374,629 from $355,341 last May. We're all so busy, that we sometimes forget to thank the people who help us every day, to do what we do best. I am pretty good, usually, at thanking people for their help, as they provide it. I'm also good at remembering people at Christmas, or Easter: I thank (and give a small gift to:) the receptionist and the administrator and the paper boy, and the Mortgage Specialist, etc., but there are times when people go above and beyond the call of duty, and a simple thank you, or even the bottle of vintage wine will just not do.
