After the successful movie night at the Cedarvale Ravine in 2008, Joe Mihevc will kick off the 2009 Outdoor Movie Night at Wychwood Barns; and "Duck Soup" with Groucho and Harpo Marx, will be shown at 7:30. For $5 per person or $10 per family, you can be treated to a great meal (Stone Soup Supper), prepared by neighbourhood volunteers. You can bring bread, cheese or dessert to share. Shoppers Drug Mart is holding an Awareness Day on environmentally friendly products.This will be held at their head office on Consumers Road. Rona will be holding their Eco responsible day by cleaning up High Park and then having a picnic afterwards. This may be something you want to be part of. The Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association (TPAAA) presents the 126th Police Games.
The games showcase major accomplishments in a gala style evening. The proceeds from the event go towards the Toronto Police Widows and Orphans Fund. The Toronto Police Widows and Orphans Fund was formed in 1952, to provide monetary support for the families of fallen membersof the Toronto Police Services.
