Normally, I see the training jets from Randolph AFB swooping over Universal City and Live Oak, and they go a bit farther to the northeast over Schertz, too. The other afternoon, they came right over my house and I went racing outside and managed to get some shots of them from my back yard.

RED HATS JOIN WING The Air Force Reserve's 53rd Aerial Port Squadron has joined the 440th Airlift Wing at Pope Air Force Base. The "red hats" had been the only Air Force Reserve units on base until the arrival of the 440th Airlift Wing from Milwaukee under the 2005 BRAC law.
