IT TAKES COURAGE TO BE RICH
Today, my friend Karen Odenheimer was told she will not leave the hospital without a new heart. She has been struggling with heart problems for as long as I have had the pleasure in knowing her.
When I was younger and the biggest thing we could think about was joining the the Army or Navy. The thought was there, and yet the values and leadership that would be instilled into individuals would last a life time.
I thought about Sir Winston Churchill recently -- having to deal with the ominous German threat during World War II. England's back was to the wall. Hitler was poised to attack. But Sir Winston refused to capitulate. His speech before Parliament is among his greatest.
