I wrote about this last week shortly after this bill was introduced. I mentioned that the Mortgage Industry was all up in arms about this particularly the provision on yield spread premiums paid to mortgage brokers.
It looks like the yield spread issue has been resolved. Consumers can still use yield spread for closing costs. Consumers will soon have Congressman Barney Frank to thank for higher cost loans should HR3915 pass. HR3915 is an anti predatory lending bill that if passed, will make the payment of yield spread premium to mortgage brokers illegal.
