I admit it. I was a little surprised to see Keith Garner at Inman’s Real Estate Connect. His booth was tucked all the way in the corner of the hall.
Just to start a dialog on the subject of a broken business model, I'm wondering if a grass roots campaign to collectively pull listings from Realtor.com aka Move.com so Realtors can start directing the way things should be done there -- with Realtors' best interests in mind. 
Something that many of us may forget is that NAR requires the completion of the Quadrennial Ethics Requirement by the end of the year. The good thing about this requirement is that it can be completed on the NAR website (www.REALTOR.org) and it FREE!!!!! Finally we get something for our dues.
Apparently, a provision in the BIG bailout of mortgage giants Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae increases the future capital gains taxes on second-home owners. This may make second homes less attractive as a real estate investment. The provision most likely will precipitate a decline in property values in America's resort and retirement towns.

According to newly released survey by NAR, International buyers are playing an increasingly important role in market share. We here in Greenville can attest to that as we are host to several International corporations including BMW and an expanding GE. Here is some of what the survey had to say:

It's about time that someone like Kevin Boer steps up to the podium (of sorts) and offers to commit his considerable energy, wit and intelligence to improving the on and offline presence and perceptions of Realtors.
I have been on Grievance and Pro Stans committees for over 20 years. I have also been an Ombudsman for our local board, In that experience, I have come to the conclusion that we don't take the Grievance process seriously. I hope I can persuade you to change this.
I love my clients. I really do. And I understand they have needs. But do they understand mine?
