Google Page Rank continues to both frustrate and amaze me. How do those algorithms work? Just when I think I understand Google’s ranking system they throw a wrench in my understanding. 
In my semi-obsession with trying to continually improve my website (www.keithkylehomes.com), show up higher on major keyword searches, and getting greater exposure on the internet, I find myself focusing on that little green bar on Google's search header. Many webmasters around the internet have noticed changes in Google's page rank on their websites. Rumor has it among internet webmasters that the pagerank update is the biggest one they have noticed in a long time.

I have noticed that my outside blog just went from a page rank of 0 to a 2 and my secondary pages on my website just jumped to a 1 from 0, but my home page is still a 2.

It's becoming a hotter subject all the time so I felt we should begin to cover the good, the bad and the irrelevant of linking strategies in more detail. 
Robert and I spoke for about a half hour this morning about our philosophy regarding SEO and how we felt about various aspects of SEO such as Page Rank, Link Exchanges, Duplicate Content and other geeky web things you may or may not be interested in.
SEOMoz.org has developed a fantastic tool that calculates something they call "Page Strength" which can be used in to gauge the importance and visibility of any Website or Webpage. Page Strength score is probably a much more accurate reflection of a Websites importance than Alexa Rank or Google PageRank alone.
